"I'm a second year student and have loved my experience here. The classes are not graded on a curve so everyone is very supportive and not competitive...the faculty is great and I feel like I will be well prepared for the USMLE Step 1 board exam."

"I really wish there was more ethnic diversity and financial aid, but the geographic and income diversity is great. Going to law school in DC was a great choice. There are so many law internships and jobs. Plenty of opportunities to build your resume if grades don't work out the first year."

"The location is wonderful, but if you live outside of the city it can be a trek. The professors are incredibly supportive and always prompt in responding. If an individual seeks support from faculty, they will receive it. Overall, this has been a good experience."

"Pros: Cutting-edge scholarship, a wealth of opportunities to meet/hear important speakers, excellent seminars, talented students Cons: Funding, cultivating a sense of community, some faculty do not engage with students, program information (which is getting better), resources"

"GW Law offers a top-tier legal education in the heart of Washington, D.C. Located in Foggy Bottom, GW Law provides students with opportunities that many other law students across the nation could only dream of. However, to be more competitive, GW needs to increase its position in the rankings to somewhere above Georgetown, as many top-firms only consider "T-16" schools."

"Great opportunities afforded to students outside of class (organizations, lectures, opportunities to get involved in DC area law). Faculty is very good with a few exceptions (inexperienced teachers) and an above average writing program."

"Really solid legal education. Some weak professors but strong overall. Being in DC is a huge plus, with the big exception of the cost of living. Overall, a good choice for those with interests focused on the capital."

"My GWU graduate program is excellent! The professors are knowledgable and teach in areas that I wish to focus my studies one. The services on campus are easy to access. The library is wonderful, but if they don't have the book you are looking for you can request one from another DC university such as Georgetown or American University."

"As an international student, GWU has opened a wide array of opportunities and experiences for me. The faculty is knowledgeable as well as encouraging and patient. They have helped me come a long way since I started off in terms of my scientific approach."

"The GWU has a highly qualified faculty in the Statistics Department. It is extremely competitive to get into Statistics PhD program. Each year more 100 students apply for PhD program, only two to four students are selected to pursue PhD in Statistics. As the university is situated in the main city, we do not have play ground and do not have football team though we have soccer team. Our gym are not that big and the federal govenment has put a restriction to limit the number of students enrolments. Many of our buildings are rented out to IFC, IMF and World bank( I heard about this). Parking is extremly difficult on campus. There are many places to eat and the unversity is culturally diverse. Students from many ethnicity backgroud are admitted here. I did not see any homecoming events here."

"Overall I've enjoyed my experience thus far but I have found that it can be challenging to get into contact with people when I need my questions answered regarding financial assistance, class registration, etc. And it is definitely better to attempt this in person because emailing and calling gets you nowhere."
