Horrendous!! The admissions and financial department do not have their acts together. I submitted all the required documentation multiple times and they continued to claim it was never received. Tried calling and was disconnected every time. Then they had the gall to say I was not responding to them. Absolutely horrible experience. It is not worth the frustration and waste of time!

It gets you the degree and that's it. The courses are all created by course designers and the instructors solely grade. Instructor quality varies wildly, which is exasperated by the accelerated 10 week semesters. The substance of the assignments is surface level with the foundational line of financial reporting courses being built on 3rd party homework modules that are automatically graded. The only people from SNHU that you will ever speak to are your advisor, career services, and financial services.... Read More

Felt good about the quality and level of difficulty that I experienced for each course. Yes, they have good instructors and a few bad instructors as well. However, the hood by far out weighs the bad. I am going back for my Masters degree in Accounting for this fall. This school is not a diploma mill. Online is tougher because you have to be willing to put in the work, but you still have to meet the deadlines just like you would if you were in a face to face course.

The financial aid department is incredibly slow at processing refunds due to slow integration systems. It always a process when it comes to anything that the school owes you. They have their hands in the pot too much and like to spoon-feed you your funding as opposed to other schools. My overages have been in my account for two days, Tuesday is a Holiday. Extensive technical problems, they are starting to care less and less about the student experience. Buyer beware!

Please sort your options this institution is not worth it. I have had better experiences at University of Phoenix and Everest compared to this institution. The instructors are retalitory and just petty. Do not work ahead because the Professors will find any excuse to bring you down to size with the dumbest deductions.

This institution is extremely over-rated, do not waste your time here. The Professors are ridiculous and the cirriculum is redundant. The Advisors are rarely in the office, just the worst experience for my Bachelor's degree now my MBA. I have decided on Manhattan College, this institution is a joke.

Pros: If you are young and have online class experience it may work for you. Con: If you are older and not really tech savvy this is likely not the program for you! I was sold on this program because I was told there are lectures online that we could watch. The reality is that there isn't a single lecture. I couldn't figure out what was due when and stumbled across assignments by clicking on various screens. -Biggest problem and why I would warn anyone from starting this: The "academic advisors"... SNHU has great career services. They are quick to lean in and help when I need it. The instructors are pretty good. Not sure yet if this degree will help me get the job I want but I'm definitely hoping so. The online format works well because I'm pretty busy.

I'd give them 0 stars if I could. I had extenuating personal circumstances that caused me to be incomplete for my last class. My student advisor said I had 60 days to complete the work, however my professor would not accept that. Now SNHU wants me to pay the balance for that class though I filed a dispute and provided extensive documentation to back up my claim of extenuating circumstances. I should also mention that in my very first class there, Managerial Accounting, I actually had to report my... Read More

I received a Master's in Accounting and Finance from SNHU with a GPA of 3.97. I learned a lot from the courses I took and it prepared me for getting a job in the field of my interest. The courses are set up like any online environment. You have to do discussion posts. Your posts have to be meaningful to the subject, follow the professor's guidelines, have references and not be really short. The papers also have to be well-researched and written with proper APA style grammar and reference citing.... Read More

I am currently a student at SNHU. This is only my 2nd term with them and I have had the best support from both my advisor and my instructors. I feel bad for whoever has had a horrible experience here, but I receive call backs same day from my advisor and my instructors have even provided me with their cell phone numbers for quicker response times. Yes, there is alot of reading and assignments but what else would you expect from an online school? Again this is only my 2nd term but I love it.

As I have reviewed many comments regarding students experience at SNHU, I wanted to provide my experience during the past 3 years. SNHU is a school in which if you dont put in the effort to do the work, then you dont have any reason being in school. I found the school to be very challenging and I learned a lot over the past three years. Most of the teacher I had in both the accounting and taxation part of the program were very good. I only had an issue with one professor, with whom developed the... Read More

SNHU advisors set you up for failure. The advisors and the school do not inform of you deadlines, requirements and expectations. The advisors go out of their way to prevent you from enrolling in classes. Advisor refuses to help students even after an issue he casued. I have had to put in requests for new advisors, to be talk to their supervisors and still do not get the help needed to be able to complete my degree. I am only 2-3 classes away from completing a Masters degree and SNHU is actively preventing... Read More

I had mixed feelings starting a program online to turn my associates into a Bachelor's degree, I saw negative reviews and was very nervous starting at this school and doing is online. The courses are challenging and of course some professors are hard to grasp, but it is beneficial to reach out to classmates, advisors and other resources to complete work. reading everything about the class, webinars are very helpful and 90% of my experience with teachers (even the small few I did not enjoy) all communicated... I am writing this review because potential students need to be informed. I thought I found the perfect school to obtain my Master's in Accounting with Auditing. However, my issue isn't about that, my issue is about the evaluation of prerequisite courses. According to the program, if you have an undergraduate degree in Accounting, courses already taken will be waived. However, what they don't tell you is that these courses, especially the Individual Income Tax course, has to be taken within two years.... Read More

SNHU Online is a great program for people like me that have already started their career and want to finish their degree but it's difficult to take classes in campus due to all of life's demands such as work, family and church. I would definitely recommend the program, one day after I finished I had already found a position within my filed of study.

So I've seen quite a few mixed reviews regarding SNHU and thought I would post some personal insight based on my own experiences. I currently work as an accountant for one of the top five companies in San Diego and completed my first bachelor's degree from a top tier university in the midwest. While I did not go to school for accounting, through a lot of hard work and a little bit of luck I was promoted into the financial field. I am at the end of my first semester at attending SNHU. I thought it would be great initially but as the weeks progressed I started to feel otherwise. Also the financial aid office just cannot seem to get it together. I emailed and called them with the information. Of course, you get the automatic email telling you your paperwork will be processed in 3-5 days. Then, they wait an entire week before telling me it couldn't be processed on a Friday afternoon and they are closing. No one could tell me... Read More

The professors are terrible. I failed an assignment without a reason. it shows on rubric "visit writing center for help, assignment was not professional, not APA style". I reached out to both 'advisor" and professor. No response or help. at least with other colleges they would show you what you did wrong/ how to improve. This college they don't bother. All the assignment are linked with each other, double graded. What I mean is week 3 homework you will turn in, polish and turn in again on week 8.... Read More
