2021 Best Colleges in Iowa by Salary Score™
Our list of the best Iowa universities ranked by Salary Score provides students with a clear picture of how each school stacks up against universities across the country in terms of alumni salary by major for a bachelor's degree. To determine our Salary Score, we looked at median alumni earnings by major at each college and compared them to salaries for the same majors at other schools. A higher score indicates that a school's alumni tend to earn higher salaries in comparison to those in the same field of study at other universities. Iowa has a lower cost of living than most states, so alumni who find employment in-state may have lower salaries that are in line with lower living expenses. However, even with a lower cost of living Iowa's top 10 schools for alumni salary have a higher Salary Score than the median for all colleges in the United States.
To be considered for our state rankings, schools must offer and provide data for at least 8 bachelor's programs. This list includes all eligible schools in Iowa. You can click on a school's name to view individual program scores. Read our methodology to learn more about how schools were ranked.
