2021 Best Colleges in Mississippi by Salary Score™
These are the best colleges in Mississippi, ranked in order of highest Salary Score. Our Salary Score acts as an indicator of how well a given college prepares alumni for high-paying jobs across majors. We calculated scores by comparing median alumni salaries in the first year after graduation for each major to salary data from graduates of the same major at other universities. We then combined these program scores to give an overall Salary Score for each college, which shows how they stack up compared to colleges and universities nationwide. Mississippi is the most affordable state in the U.S., so alumni who work in-state may have lower salaries in line with a lower cost of living.
To be considered for our state rankings, schools must offer and provide data for at least 8 bachelor's programs. This list includes all eligible schools in Mississippi. You can click on a school's name to view individual program scores. Read our methodology to learn more about how schools were ranked.
