"My time at American intercontinental university was great I love meeting the people in my classes. My advisors always called to make sure I was being on time with my assignments and classwork. It's because of them and my family that I have gotten this far. The teachers care about you and your learning experience. I would recommend aiu to anybody because you feel like you are home when you are there."

"I have been done unfairly all my life aiu allowed me to go in dept well aware my funding would run out with only 7 classes left forced to withdraw because with only two weeks' notice I was informed to continue payments had to be made of 650 a month. in the beginning, it was amazing I made it clear I would not attend if I did not have the assistance to finish and they allowed me to borrow over 18 thousand knowing I would not complete school. I am attending to get out of poverty now I am deeper in poverty and nothing I can do just another victim. It was crazy how the school would not respond once the money ran out. "Too many students past or present are more concerned with receiving their stipend a/k/a refund check and don't concern themselves with getting a valuable education, which is why there are so many complaints made against this university. I have personally seen people quit this university after receiving their stipend then have the gall to come write out a complaint about having to repay their student loans or about the instructors and their teaching methods, or just complain. Ridiculous!!! How idiotic is this? You get out of it what you put into it. Working hard, applying yourself, and using time management wisely will further your success at this university. This is so sad that I cannot go any further but to say that I started AIU in 2015 and have incurred a 3.8 as a result of my dedication and hard work, knowing what the end result will be. To that end, my goal is in attaining my degree and I am on the path of doing it if I stay focused, use time management wisely, and follow instructions.Read Less"

"This was a horrible college. I did not learn anything . We rarely stayed in class the full time and teachers were always absent. If you want a quality education this is not the school.The staff has a very poor attitude and the instructors are not at all enthused to be there."

"I just started this school on August 24,2015. I have to say I love it. I don't understand why people are complaining about the school itself. If you don't like it please feel free to go to another school of your choosing. I have learned a lot since starting. The tools offered here are essential to my learning. The instructor I have had so far has helped me when I needed it.I love Intellipath as well. I learn so many new things that I had not known already. It's all about Time Management and Planning ahead. If you don't do any of those things of course you will have a hard time. My second session starts on October 5, 2015. I thought I was only going to be getting one class but it turns out I will be getting 2 classes. One is English Composition, the other is Foundations of Criminal Justice. Instead of griping and complaining I took responsibility in planning ahead and applying Time Management skills. I created a calendar list of tasks/assignments that I have to do within each class and included the date those assignments were due by. I also was able to set a specific day and time in which I want to get my assignments started and completed. Doing this you can never go wrong and you will stay a step ahead instead of doing everything at the last minute. Although a challenge, in some regards, I am looking forward to learning more in my second session here at AIU and I would recommend this school to any one who is interested in pursuing a college degree. If you are not the type to read, research or write then this isn't your thing. There will be a lot of reading, writing and researching going on in the classrooms of AIU. All of this works for me as I am a homemaker with 3 children in school. It is time consuming but so what I have a lot of time on my hands and pursuing my college degree is something that I have always wanted to do.As I said before, complaining won't accomplish anything or get you anywhere. If you find that AIU is not up to your standards, go somewhere else but at the end of the day it will still amount to the same thing..WORK...you get back what you put into this. Hard work pays off. Skating by because it's an online campus is cheating yourself and you don't attain and/or retain knowledge that way. Wishing all of you the best. Regards!Read Less"

"Days before graduation they kick me out due to ACGPA not high enough for financial aid. Really, right before graduation. Transfer GPA doesn't count. Cost is $400+ per hour. 4.5 x $400. Save your money and go to a top notch university were someone can explain the assignments thoroughly."

"This school is a joke. They continue to add to the price of tuition and classes without notification. Their student advisors will not contact you when they set a time, It is impossible to get in touch with them, they will not return phone calls or emails. They expect you to get all documentation that they need, and when you do send it in they do not email you or contact at all that you sent them the right thing. Everyone that I have talked to at that school, student advisors, financial aid, etc. are very rude and not helpful at all. They get you in and then you are expected to do everything on your own with no help or guidance from any of the departments that are supposed to help. In my opinion, if I were you, I would definately find a different school, and run away from AIU.Read Less"

"Instruction is slim to none, you can easily learn more by doing a simple google search rather than paying someone to use google to write pointless essays that dont teach you anything. The staff is rarely friendly except once in a blue moon you may catch someone on a good day. The communication between anyone who works there and the student is so painfully lacking that multiple students I have spoken to personally that have attended were thrown out due to the STAFF'S miss-communication, thus looking badly on the student. The staff actually caring about the education of the students is non existent, and for this school to be listed as "military friendly" is laughable.Read Less"

"This school has the worst financial aid specialist available. They take 10 weeks to finish your award and at the end the end up screwing it again. Will not recommend this school. Teachers are good though and student adviser try to do their job at their best."
