"The cons of the program are its inability to be completed in the 3 years that the school advertises it can be completed in. Most students in the MDiv program take at least 3.5-4 years to finish the 80+ credit load, with many more opting for the "eternity plan" and staying as long as 7.5-8 years to complete the requirements. The pros of the program is that it is a complete and rounded education and training in becoming a minister and/or working within the faith community. The balance of academic/classroom-centric coursework and practical/community-centric coursework and internship experience shapes Andover Newton graduates with the proper sort of rounded training needed in this career field."
