"The program is flexible and depends a lot on what you make out of it. If you are a comfortable with self-driven learning, and does not require a structured learning environment, you will thrive in this program. But if structure and guidance is essential to your learning, this program is not for you."

"Pros: Facilities, staff (Lab track), quality of instructors and visiting instructors, the criticality of the program. The program is critical (conceptual, creative, current with contemporary discourse) yet also connected to a strong alum network and lots of industry events/exposure. Career office is supportive. Cons: Tuition, the "main" campus where all administration, library access and some facilities are located is a 20-30 minute drive."

"Its an amazing program where one is given the opportunity to design his own course of study with the freedom of taking classes in each department i.e. Directing, Writing, Editing and Cinematography and developing specific skills that one feels that are lacking in him or her. This is diversely different from the other film schools where one can only choose only one stream of study remaining limited to that on department throughout their course of study. The present state of technological development which is constantly evolving has opened up the visual medium to great dimensions and it could be highly beneficial for someone entering the field to have knowledge of all the department as that would empower him or her to create films with lesser constrictions. I feel the Graduate Film Program supports this and helps in developing filmmakers for the future who can develop great visual skills in the vibrant and extremely rich design background of the school, yet being grounded in the solid ground of narrative storytelling. Its a great school to study film, minus the industry connections and placements which is its only downfall."

"The school is too expensive to have diversity and demand really excellent students. The teachers are absolutely great! My program is amazing but the overall structure of the school is sub-par and not supportive of student needs."

"I love my school and my program. I am a Broadcast Cinema Graduate student and I have learned more in the past year than I can even put into words. You are free to structure the program exactly how you like, but with the full support of the faculty. I have been able to work with the most phenomenal people, both faculty and student, and finally feel that I am learning real skills to use in the outside world. The con is that it is so much money. I'm more than sure that it is worth it, but I can't even begin to afford it."
