"I chose Auburn because it felt like a place I could call home for the next 4 years while I pursued a Pre-Pharmacy degree and hopefully go on to obtain a PharmD. The degree program was both great and frustrating. Any degree that has a strong science focus is difficult and requires a lot of time not only inside of the classroom but outside of it. For me, Organic Chemistry was one of the hardest classes I had ever taken especially when the first year of college wasn't difficult for me as I had taken multiple AP classes that prepared me for the first year of college. There was a lot of work to put it in, but it was worth it! The college degree is wonderful but also the experiences that college brings. I've become friends with people from so many different backgrounds that I could not have received from anywhere else coming from a small town. Auburn being a bigger school can be difficult to find "your group" but being so big also means you're not confined to the same sort of people that were friends in high school."
