"I attended California State Los Angeles University from 2009- 2012. I found their program to be concise and informative. The professors are very caring and involved with the students. The curriculum is organized and consistent. They have classes that start early in the afternoon and end in the early evening. The students appreciated being there and the collaboration that was provided. I would recommend this school to anyone pursuing a graduate degree in education."

"There were a lot of students taking the ABA certificate and not enough professors. The professors that were there were either ill or on a leave for a year. It was very touch and go for a while and not a whole lot of support."

"Very competitive program allows students to flourish within various counseling careers. Faculty are readily available and care about the success of each student. Program offers many opportunities to network including school campuses, therapists, and other counseling students. Programs also provides students with easy access to technology including iPads for recording therapy sessions, use of therapy clinics, and other school resources for students to utilize, in order for students to save finances and to receive optimum learning. Campus is considered a commuter school so meeting other students and getting to know them well is difficult. However, this graduate program provides very intimate settings so getting to know other students allows room for intimacy and camaraderie."

"The pros of the program is that i can do both my credentials for student teaching, and my masters at the same time. The cons of this program is the classes are specifically put in afternoons than mornings. It needs more options."

"The graduate program at Cal State LA is small and allows for more time with the students to discuss and really delve into art and research. I also really love that is a very versatile graduate program. The cons of a such a small program, however, is to be noticed among other programs, we have to be careful not be an afterthought."

"The pros of my graduate program are: (1) The ability to use creative methods, such as drama and storytelling to bring out key points in books; (2) The creative methods that are mentioned above transcend race, gender, and socio-economic groups; and (3) The methods mentioned also appeal to students who do not learn traditionally, such as with memorization, rote, drill, and so forth."

"The pros of the program is that you work in a cohort so it makes it easier for you to have study groups and you learn a lot. The cons is that there is not a lot of opportunities for networking outside of the program and the internship guidance is not that great."
