"My graduate program requires me to spent extensive hours on my studies with lot of research on relevant topics but as a full time student, I have no time to do part time work to support my livings. It is difficult to maintain good grades if I work beside my studies. Of course the graduate program make me confident individual when going to work force in industries through frequent research and presentation in front of the professionals."

"The pros for me are that the credential I am obtaining will allow me to be hired as an Instructional Specialist as soon as I complete the credential program. The cons are the tuition, though reasonable in comparison to other colleges, is expensive for a student working and trying to go to college."

"The pros of my graduate program are: (1) The ability to use creative methods, such as drama and storytelling to bring out key points in books; (2) The creative methods that are mentioned above transcend race, gender, and socio-economic groups; and (3) The methods mentioned also appeal to students who do not learn traditionally, such as with memorization, rote, drill, and so forth."

"Attending Cal State Los Angeles would have to be my bestest choice yet. The pros of going to this college is the easiness of getting there. Especially since it's close to my house. The faculty and even the students who have been there a longer time than I have are kind and thoughtful enough to answer any questions I have for them. There are also day cares close by where I know my baby daughter will be safe while her mom's in class. I would have to truly say i can't find any cons in this school."

"Doing the graduate program at CSULA increases your chance of getting in their internship program. However, it's been proven difficult trying to figure out what exactly needs to be done. Not every faculty member is up to date with the requirements."

"Pros: Superb MSW program for what you pay for comparable programs at USC, UCLA, etc., Diversity, passion, and life/work experience of both staff, professors and students, accessibility to stipend program such as IUC, CalSwec, etc. Cons: The administrative red-tape can be a nightmare at times given that it is a state school, it not a real picturesque campus, not much happening in/around campus as it's kind of an industrial area, safety has been an issue at times"

"The graduate school of social work program at CSULA is very challenging and time consuming, but it is also worth it and rewarding. A student will gain much needed knowledge and practice in preparation for the work field. The student cohort and faculty are very supportive."

"The pros of the program is that you work in a cohort so it makes it easier for you to have study groups and you learn a lot. The cons is that there is not a lot of opportunities for networking outside of the program and the internship guidance is not that great."

"My experience has been that most graduate students do not get financial aid. I applied for financial aid and was only given loans, thus increasing my debt. Cal State LA is on the expensive side compared to other state schools. What I pay at Cal State LA is the same as what I paid for my undergraduate at UC Davis and I feel I got more for my money at Davis. Overall, the program was great! Professors did know what they were talking about and were with you every step of the day. If you are interested in Counseling, I highly suggest Cal State LA."

"Good instructors but VERY poor administrative support. Overall programs expectations for leaving the program much higher than course expectations so many students do not pass their final program exams."

"Rehabilitation Services emphasize in counseling is a great program because it has great professors that are willing to take the time to guide their students to be successful. The program is a two year program and it is well know through various universities. I believe that there are no cons of the program, I am satisfied with what I am pursuing and will like to graduate in the year of 2015."

"The main pro of my Cal State Los Angeles graduate program is that it does accommodate the working student by placing the core classes on one day of the week. The main con is that my classmates and I have found that it has unfortunately turned out to be a self-teaching program. We attend 5 hour long lectures and then go home to teach it to ourselves with little support and instruction from our professors."
