"The School Psychology Program in CSU Northridge is NASP approved, and for this reason students in this program to be highly sought after, in the surrounding regions. The professors are available and willing to help; however, students must ask for assistance because as they say, "We are not here to hold you hand." They give the necessary support for students, while promoting individual autonomy. Students in higher levels also created a mentor program to help new students familiarize themselves with the requirements. Overall, the campus is safe because security escorts are available all throughout campus at night. CSUN also promotes a friendly environment, and fostering cultural competence is encouraged. The campus, as a whole, provides a warm friendly atmosphere of a small campus community, without losing the urban feel of the city of Los Angeles.Read Less"
