"I have had many issues and my school has been supportive. I have failed courses and was given a success coach to help me in my studies. The school itself has a family setting. The administration has been very helpful actively. I am grateful for having the opportunity to attend CTU. And if I had to choose another school I would still choose CTU first."

"I worked at McDonald's and they had a program where you could enroll for "free". I take a couple classes and the course work seemed really simple and not college level. I hit them up trying to leave the school and they threaded me with debt and other stuff. They said I still needed to pay some out of pocket so I did for a few months but after doing research I found out this school was a joke and not very professional. So I figured just stop paying them and ignore their calls. Yup that worked they never called me again and I went back to the community College in my area. "This school's administration is a joke! The financial aide office constantly was screwing up my financial aide and couldn't seem to figure out what or how to fill out anything and even after telling them exactly how to do it what to file how to fill it out they would screw it up 3 times over, the student success coaches never seemed to help anyone succeed at anything and couldn't be reached when contacted, never returned any contact when reaching out, the career experts and sources office was the worst career/ job website and coaching I have ever seen or tried. They're another never help you can't reach them and no returned contact office. Will make you need maximum student loans with financial aide and still owe out of pocket expenses! Most of the teaching instructors were great and really did seem to care and would do the most to help you learn and succeed. The rest of the faculty and administration there were always screwing up and screwing over and that's only if they could be contacted at all. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!Read Less"

"I believe that the CTU online Business Administration degree would benefit anyone as much as it did me. You just have to be willing to put the work in and the benefit will come. My employer at the time recommended CTU and I know many employers will reimburse for this school. Take advantage of it!"

"I graduated a couple months ago (Feb. 2017). and I have not had the negative experiences others say they had. I came in with an associate's degree and attended 3 other colleges prior to finishing up at CTU. Pros: I thought their online format and website/navigation was the best I have ever used. A+. I attended Portland State Online, and trying to navigate their "Blackboard" took me 30+ minutes every time I logged in. CTU definitely has the online experience down. I also paid out-of-pocket, but I'll expand on that in the "cons". Fats classes: classes are condensed. meaning: 5.5 weeks each class. I personally loved this! I did not want to take 12 weeks worth of classes. This did make for a grind and tons of late nights writing papers. To put in in perspective, when I finished (110 credits) I figure I wrote about 200 research papers. I suppose this could be good or bad, but I learned a lot. I am 41 years old, and had I done this when I was much younger I may not have been as successful. Cons: I thought some of the teaching or lectures were a little lacking. This is truly a "get out of the program what you put into it." It is on you to work hard, and again, me being older was of value for me. As to financing, I paid out of pocket, but boy they do hound you to do the financial aid. There was a little annoyance their, and they clearly have a financial incentive to do so. That said, I had similar issues with State colleges so I don't think this is necessarily a CTU problem- they ALL have financial incentive for these things. Overall, I not only recommended someone else to go there, but am also working on my MBA. The bachelor's has already opened doors that weren't open before. I would attend again, but know it is a grind: usually 4-5 papers over 5 weeks, other assignments too.Read Less"

"I really enjoyed being a student at CTU. I was able to coach my son's soccer team, be a boy scout leader, Play guitar and drums in a band, play in my adult soccer league and work full time. I had the opportunity to be a father a husband and a student! CTU allowed me to be the first one in my family to graduate from college by being open 24/7 for any questions i had. I do not understand how students cannot take advantage of FAST TRACK to finish even faster! The assignment are laid out for us from day 1! I finished my associates and bachelors here and i would never go anywhere else to do it. There really is no excuse to not like CTU with everything it offers.Read Less"

"I personally would not recommend this school to my worse enemy. As the classes are extremely expensive which sucks the life out of your financial aid since there is now a cap on the amount of loans and federal aid that a student is allowed to receive. The individuals who work in the financial aid department are incompetent and no one truly wants to help, it seems they simply want more money out of you. There are no private loan providers who will even back the school once you go over the aggregate loan amounts set by the government. I am in my last year simply trying to get past the funding part and complete my BA...Talk about stress! I have seen tons of terrible reviews on this school on-line, and wish I would have read the reviews prior to attending CTU again. The school is so expensive, and I am not sure if it is even worth the time and effort to finish here. I would certainly not recommend CTU on-line to anyone!!Read Less"

"Horrible classes. Overpriced school. Unhelpful counselors and coaches. A good portion of professors have accents and it is very difficult to hear/ understand lectures through the online live chats. Would not recommend school. Waste of time and money."

"This is nothing but a money sucking school. I attended this school for 7 years part time while working full time. The school continued to add classes making it impossible to achieve my degree. In the 7 years that my employer and i invested in CTU I had never dropped a course. Due to a horrible instructor i dropped one course. CTU now is charging me $380 dollars for attending 1 of 11 classes for that course. The accounting office is rude and ignorant. This so called university was a WASTE of many years and over $30,000 dollars.Read Less"

"I attended CTU while working full time as a director of dietary in a hospital. The school was great! Like it has been said prior, you get out of the school what you put in it. I had to sacrifice a lot of personal and family time with my wife who was pregnant for half the time and my daughter. It was worth it! I've been able to get a better paying job and have great quality of life now! If I were too seek an advanced degree h would go to CTU!"

"I tried to attend this school because they said there were allowances for active duty military and understood their schedules when it came to submitting assignments late.. This was a straight up lie from one of the counselors (SALESMAN). They do not counsel and will forget about you after you attend a class. If you decide to drop out they will be all over you. I was told that they would submit the paperwork in order for me to us the G.I. Bill, but they submitted everything as a student loan after i specified no loans at all. Run from this school. If they will lie to vets and active Duty they will lie to anyone.Read Less"

"My enrollment advisor was fantastic. The teachers were friendly and communicated well. My student advisor lacked in every prospect. He never returned my calls. I called three times about issues with my computer, asking what steps I needed to take as to not fail classes. Instead of returning my call, he withdrew me. When I contacted the school, I was told I would have to re enroll, start back two months later and pay for the last class I was in twice. The school punished me bc the advisors could not do their job. During the re enrollment process, my new advisor stated she would call me when my paperwork was finished. After a month I had to call to find out what was going on, just to be told the 34.5 credits I had already earned would not be accounted. Therefore I would have to start all over. They really need to get their staff on the same page or advertise the fact that no one will contact or assist you ever. They are rude and inconsiderate of the fact I am a full time mother and employee. I just wanted to further my education to better my family, all this "school" did was put me in debt!Read Less"

"When I enrolled with CTU I had very high hopes! I did a little research and saw that compared to other colleges their tuition cost was lower even though it was higher than what I wanted. I spoke with an enrollment advisor that gave me a lot of information about the school and a virtual tour which I thought was great! A few months later I go back to the school to enroll and I come to find out that she no longer works there (the enrollment person) which should have been a red flag. I got a new enrollment person which was a little frustrating because he was attempting to go over the same information, but I understood. We picked out a program and the enrollment process started at the beginning of July. We were suppose to speak in the next few days but my schedule got very busy in a short amount of time. I communicated to him letting him know that another day would work and I do not remember him calling me back for follow up. After that I got bombarded with phone calls from several people and emails. Me and my fiance looked at my emails and in total I got 8-10 different people sending me emails. The entire process took about 1 month and I still was not done giving them paperwork they requested. There were at least 5 financial advisors who kept sending me emails with the same information of papers I needed to sign which I thought was excessive. It actually made me more frustrated because I felt pressured! They did not care if I had a busy schedule they kept calling and emailing. I called back and left a voicemail telling them I was busy and that I prefer to contacted by email or through chat. This was after they had already been sending me automated type emails. I did not mind getting a email from 1 or 2 people maybe 3 at the most, but 8-10 people? I decided that if I have to go through this type of stress before even starting classes I was not going to move forward. I got notifications about online orientation which had dates that seemed like it lasted for a month. They had a welcome to orientation and it asked students to go to facebook or twitter and post " I am starting classes with CTU" or something like that. They definitely want you to recommend them without even starting class. I thought that was crazy because they did not deserve any recommendations because of the service I was receiving. You have to talk to maybe 5-6 different financial aid advisor where there should be only 1 person to talk to. It makes the communication easier so that you do not have to reexplain things to different people every time you call. I emailed one the financial advisors and she told me that does not speak with the student population but I could ask for her if I wanted? What sense does that make? Why are you sending emails and you cannot assist me and then turnaround and say you can? Their organization was terrible to say the least. When I ask to not be enrolled I got questioned from the enrollment guy "J.K." who felt the need to question me about why I did not want to continue. I do not mind him asking me questions but his demeanor was like " Well you told me you could! why are you going back on what you said???? The quality of education is important" I told him I did not have to explain myself to him. This guy had no clue that it was that type of service that made me want to leave. I told him if he wanted to help pay for school for me I would welcome it. He had no right questioning my integrity like he was contributing to my education. This school has a lot of issues with their enrollment process it really can make you upset and take away the excitement of going back to school! "Everything about this school screamed "scam" to me. I'm sure that some people have graduated and are satisfied with their degrees, but I was simply not impressed. At first, it appeared as though my admissions advisor was my primary point of contact in order to get me through the intimidating process. But over the course of a few weeks, I talked to several people who were "helping" my advisor, but no one seemed to be on the same page. Before I had even completed the admissions process, I was being pressured to provide referrals of friends and coworkers who would like to be contacted about the school. I was completely uncomfortable providing my friends' contact info, and therefore refused. It was at this point that I felt like I was just a "sale" to my advisor. I made it to the point of the online orientation, and I participated in several of the activities. I was assigned a student success advisor for this process. It was at this point that I began to lose my enthusiasm. Within seconds of submitting discussion board entries and assignments (such as "a letter to my future self"), I saw that I was given an "A." No one was even reviewing my work to gauge whether or not I was deserving of one grade over another. The one comment that was left in reference to my work was obviously a generic post that was most likely copied and pasted for every student. There was an issue with the online delivery of one aspect of the orientation, so despite having completed the task, it still showed as incomplete. I emailed my advisor several times and never received a response. It was at this moment that I decided to withdraw from the university, a task that proved to be simply impossible. I located a document online that instructed me to contact student affairs via email or phone in order to submit a withdrawal request. Locating the contact information for student affairs was as simple as locating a unicorn. It simply does not exist anywhere. I have been attempting to withdraw from courses for two weeks now, and oddly enough, all of those people who were so willing to talk to me at the beginning of the process are suddenly nowhere to be found. This ordeal has proven to be irritating, frustrating, and a complete waste of my valuable time. This school is probably great for those who are willing to pay $50,000 for a degree that they really don't need to earn. I, on the other hand, want a degree that I need to work for. I prefer constructive criticism to simply paying someone a lot of money to give me an easy A. I would not recommend this university to anyone who is looking for a legitimate online university.Read Less"

"I have tried different colleges and have never finished any of them becauseI was a young mom with a full time job and being a high school dropout with little education didn't help. CTU has lifted me out of this spirit of feeling unsuccessful! I am very close to being finished and I have managed to keep my GPA up. My teachers have made my learning experience easy with the real life situations that they teach. My advisors have been there for any help I have had. "I attended CTU from 2006 to 2008 and graduated with my BSBA in IT. I was able to transfer my credits from the concrete, traditional universities I attended in the past without issues. My goal was to complete a BS degree, but utilize the maximum transferable credits. My adviser was very good and helped me choose a major that was relevant to my career goals and utilized passed experience also. The classes were demanding, I was glad to be challenged for my investment and felt as though it was not a fake degree program. I worked full time and went to CTU full time, not easy but graduated after 18 months with a 3.5GPA and my BSBA-IT.Read Less"

"It is hard to get in contact with your professors. They say email them and yet they never reply to the emails. Financial aid is the worst. Trying to get help with financial aid documents or getting questions answered is ridiculous. They couldn't explain to me why my stipend went from a very large amount to nothing. They just gave me the run around and then hung up on me. It wasn't very helpful. My student advisior was never available to speak me.and would never answer my questions. The only one who was helpful was the enrollment advisior who walked me through the paperwork and the orientation process step by step.Read Less"

"Colorado Technical University Online (CTU) has completely changed my life. I am a single mother of two children, one boy and one girl. My daughter is disabled and has an abundance of medical issues. My situation is very challenging and, at one point, I thought that there was no hope as far as furthering my education. Money was too tight to pay for daycare and the level of care my daughter would need. CTU gave me hope. Between the flexibility of online classes and the overwhelming support of the staff, I am now currently pursuing my Bachelor's Degree in Business. I couldn't have done it on my own.
