"Choosing to go to City College for my Master of Architecture degree was the best decision I ever made. There is no better place in the U.S. to study architecture than in New York City. The professors at the school all come from nearby schools such as Columbia, Pratt, Harvard, and Cornell. The program is rigorous, engaging, and embracing future technologies. I made incredible professional connections at this school (not to mention a full-time job) that I know will last throughout my career. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a professional architecture degree at a reasonable cost to the student."

"I liked my experience. The faculty is very talented and most professors really are very engaged in helping student's with learning. The placement cell is not the best though, they can really use some driven and experienced individuals to help graduating students with their resumes and guidance on searching for a job as a fresher."

"College is a large campus located in Bronx, New York. Most STEM-related classes limited to certain parts of building, so it's a bit hard to give a full review of the college in general. I do feel that the education I received there was okay, but might not be ideal if you are looking for a college where the student-teacher ratio is not so large."

"Getting an MS in Computer Science from CCNY is quite challenging so you need to make sure that for the 3 0 credits you pick the right faculty and classes because some of the teachers make it significantly harder than others to get a good grade."

"An amazing masters program that is different from other "marketing" masters that are offered in NYC. The program is also far more affordable than similar ones at private institutions. The program advisers also do a good job of trying to understand your career goals and where you see yourself while in the program/post graduation."

"City College is a school with great history. The diversity of the students makes it more inviting than many other colleges in the area. Great opportunity for those students that plan to do research during their undergraduate years. City College has a huge research program with opportunities in many different fields."

""The City College of New York is an excellent institution, and offers many opportunities to students of different backgrounds. It was a pleasure to be part of this school. The Architecture department specifically was very rigorous, but also offered the opportunity to explore various ways one could improve the quality of life of people, by becoming better designers and architects. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at CCNY" - Jacline Vargas"

"As a graduate student at the City College of New York, I am completing my second semester here. So far, my overall experience has been positive. I was able to find a lab where I could work as a graduate student (as a part of the City University of New York Research Foundation). My research mentor, my research team, and the overall department members are very helpful. The degree program (Biology) allows me to complete my master's program in a 2 year period, by taking my electives of interest as well as complete a research thesis. I come from an engineering background, and I also spent time working at a company prior to attending the master's program. Making the decision to further my education was the best decision I have made so far, because I feel my true potential and passion for science has been discovered here. The research facilities are extensive, giving students the opportunity to choose the lab and mentor that best suits their interests. In addition, the advising I received from members of the Biology Department were very helpful. As a new graduate student and as a newcomer to New York, I remember being very naive, and confused about what steps I must take to enroll into the right courses, which lab to join, and what I can do to get the best out of the master's program. The department faculty have guided me, but also allowed me to discover myself as an aspiring scientist. There are many interesting courses that graduate students can pursue at CCNY, and the master's program allows you to choose electives of your choice, with requirements only in the number of credits that you must complete prior to graduation. With classes like neuroscience, genetics, molecular biology, and neuro-pharmacology, I was able to delve into these fields and broaden my knowledge. In addition, the biology program holds many seminars throughout the school year, for students to hear from different researchers from CCNY, as well as from other schools. This allows us to learn about various research techniques and topics, as well as allow us to network with researchers. With the combination of learning from the extensive coursework and performing research in a lab, I would say that the master's degree that I will obtain at the City College of New York will prepare me for further studies in the field of science."

"College is important if you want a career that requires a degree. You can be educated and not go to college. I have a Masters degree because I wanted to continue my education but it is not for everyone."

"I am presently pursuing Computer Information Systems (MIS) Graduate program at CCNY, a field that provides great learning opportunities for professionals and I believed is tailored to my long lived aspirations and interests, as I continue to work and at the same time strived for academic excellence as a priority and very important aspect of my life. During my undergrad level, I was able to maintain an excellent academic record with a GPA of 3.7, received several awards and finally graduated with honors while simultaneously working to finance my education, a strong proven record of able to work and still perform well academically. Though, am dedicated to my professional career, I still continue to seek for higher education to enhance my ability, knowledge, and have a board leadership and management skills for future opportunities. I am highly committed to this goal as evident of my academic record and convinced that my strong desire to achieve success academically which hopefully should lead to a executive career path while I continue to advancing skills and knowledge at my current job, makes me a good candidate for this Scholarship Program."

"The City College of New York focuses on expanding the horizons of those that attend through lectures, workshops, and rigorous courses. The many services offered such as tutoring allow the students to perform well academically as well as socially through school and club created events. City College has created an environment in which everyone has a place to fit in which creates the immense diversity the school is known for. It is a college which I feel is highly under appreciated."

"What strikes me first about City College is the diversity and inclusive atmosphere of the College in STEM fields at the graduate-level. In my case, the Mathematics courses display great diversity and what is more is that your fellow students are energized and driven to do well, but are not competitive. The professors encourage collaborating and impress upon you what it takes to do well in math, as well as, what it means to be a mathematician- they don't just pontificate, they give sobering, yet motivating advice that helps you achieve your goals. Moreover, the professors are top-notch mathematicians themselves, many of whom earned their doctorate degrees from very strong programs. They bring that same level of expectations with them to City College, expecting the same rigor from their students. It's a great program to get a formative foundation in rigorous proof-based mathematics with breadth, whether it be to enter the workforce or as preparation for further studies at the doctoral level."

"The master's program I am enrolled in has many opportunities to get experience and learn. However there are not that many subjects in biology. So if someone is interested in molecular, neurological, or environmental biology, it could be a good fit. Also the staff has helped me a lot with making me succeed in the program. They helped me get into my classes, with finances, and with joining a lab."
