"The graduate program has tremendous rigor and practical career readiness and preparation. As for a graduate course they are not accommodating to full time working students. There is also class time limitations, such as mainly morning and early afternoon classes. This reduces the available classes for working grad students. The professors are truly knowledgeable in their content areas."

"Pros: My Graduate program is challenging and only 30 credits. Cons: There is no defined schedule for the masters and the night program could be stronger."

"The faculty is very helpful and nice albeit overworked. Nearly every person on the staff has an attitude problem and has become a bitter piece of the bureaucratic machine."

"My graduate program allows for a specialization. While the field of library science is wide open, here you can choose to focus on a key aspect of your career interest. I feel that this is an added value to those who complete the program. The only down side is that because the program is primarily an evening program, there is not a lot of time for us to have speaker series or other networking and career advancement opportunities. That would enrich the graduate school experience."

"This program is credited and well known. It will guarantee you pass the license exam if you do your part. Cons are that the tuition is very high and there's not much financial help for grad students."

"The Library Science graduate program is a valuable program. I have been to community colleges and universities, but none of the institutions measure up to Queens College as a whole. Faculty members of the graduate program are knowledgeable of their subject matter, enthusiastic, and resourceful. While the course work for the program is rigorous, professors are understanding of the modern day graduate student. In addition, students of any age in the program can become overwhelmed with the amount of technology introduced over the course of the program. That being said, the balance of exceptional lectures, hands-on technology apparatuses, and the software available made available will ease most students. Helpful programs and workshops are offered to students to increase diverse student interaction and career development, but most are held during afternoon hours. Many graduate students work during the afternoon and are unable to attend. Perhaps, forming a committee to advocate a wider selection of evening workshops would prove to beneficial. Overall, Queens College proves to be a power school by providing students with a safe and secure education. Not only do students receive a valuable education, but also an affordable one. I would recommend anyone to Queens College."

"The program here was worth the money, however, the design of most teacher education training programs need more in-classroom time concurrent with training courses. Comprehensive and concise, however, need more career support in the touch teacher job market in NYC today."

"I think this is an effective graduate program for education-we do a lot of hands on things such as projects and presentations and have a lot of resources and access to elementary schools and teachers. I only wish the classes weren't so late and night and I wish the school offered more scholarships and financial aid."

"Pros- Previously attended Queens College as an undergrad, so knowing faculty and Professors. The affordability of the program is not farfetched, but is not super cheap either. Cons - Social life. Amount of courses available per semester. The course schedule."

"Queens College is focusing too much on Undergraduate programs. There are not enough graduate level classes offered. There is NO subway close by, and the immediate surroundings lack good organic and healthy food options. However, the faculty is very approachable and supportive of the student body."
