"I really enjoy the pharmacy program at Drake University. The small school allows for you to make personal connections with your teachers that may not be present at a large university. It also allows you to get really involved on campus and in various organizations, and this lets you develop you leadership skills. The only downside of this program is that it largely focuses on retail pharmacy applications, but I am sure this is prevalent in many other programs as well. Overall, I love the environment and all of the teachers are always willing to help you."

"College is a place to come into your own. It is your first experience being completely responsible for yourself. It is going to be scary and fun all at the same time. Drake was a great university that was small enough to make you feel safe and secure, while being large enough to still have some anonymity."

"The graduate program provides students with many opportunities to succeed in outside communities. Faculty and staff are committed to ensuring students are prepared to enter life after graduation as confident and capable pharmacists. The only con to the graduate program is that it is expensive, especially after 4 years."

"My experience thus far with Drake's pharmacy program has been wonderful. The college is very well respected locally, which makes finding an internship in the area very easy. It is also extremely beneficial that many of the professors are also working professionals with real life experience in a variety of pharmacy professions."

"I am so thankful for Drake University's college of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. The approachable staff are willing to do everything within their power to see students succeed. We truly encompass our mission statement, "To provide an exceptional learning environment that prepares students for meaningful personal lives, professional accomplishments, and responsible global citizenship. The Drake experience is distinguished by collaborative learning among students, faculty, and staff and by the integration of the liberal arts and sciences with professional preparation." Unfortunately, the program's tuition has been consistently raised annually, which really puts a strain on their students. Despite the high cost, I am so excited to travel around the country this year for my rotations, and hope to gain financial support through essential programs like this!"

I have not been proven wrong so far- from all the opportunities available I have gained immeasurable experience and support I know will be useful in my future career."

"Pros: Six year program, highly accessible faculty, many opportunities for involvement, located in an urban area Cons: Neighborhood surrounding college is somewhat dangerous, little financial aid available"

"Drake has a pretty awesome pharmacy program. The faculty is always willing to help, inside and outside of the classroom setting. It is a challenging curriculum, but what else was I supposed to expect when applying for graduate school. There is no other place I would rather be because of the connections I have made here."
