"Duke is great, not so much for surrounding areas unless you drive. Prices are relatively low and standard of living is relatively high. Program is highly flexible and students can choose up to a highly rigorous PhD level curriculum. Non-academic job market is fine for US residents, less than satisfactory for internationals."
