"I went in with an opened mind and I think I got out of it somewhat of a good. Experience? The teachers are actually industry professionals. In meaning they really teach and act like the class is a job. So the criticism is good and tough. I liked that because it makes you dig deeper into a better designer. Its one building with all the classes. So it feels like a you're at a job. You get how much you put in. My professors really graded so the work can be better. In all I liked it but it was too much for the degree I got."

"The teachers are knowledgeable and the coursework is challenging, but did it help me get a job in the field? No. The school itself is great, the campus is beautiful, the student life is enjoyable and I don't think FIDM is to blame for an industry that is incredibly competitive. The fashion industry in America is mainly located in Los Angeles and New York and with thousand of students graduating from FIDM and Parsons the relatively few Fashion Design positions are flooded with applicants. Even the highest scoring students have difficulty finding jobs. The school is quite expensive so the only major I feel is worth the investment is Merchandise Marketing, and even then you can find a marketing degree for way cheaper elsewhere."
