"As an experienced counselor who went back to graduate school to refresh my information and increase my skill set, I've found Fordham's Mental Health Counseling program to be well run, informative and enriching. The professors are dedicated and well-versed in their subject matter. Almost all of them have some kind of clinical practice, which enhances their credibility and the relevance of their information. The school itself is very committed to instructing students in multiculturalism, client advocacy, and human rights. My one caveat regarding the program is the cost. It's very expensive, and there is little assistance in finding scholarships, grants or other sources of funding. I am grateful for the quality of education I've received, and I've met a wide range of fellow students who are very dedicated to becoming skilled and ethical counselors."

"The degree program did not satisfy my educational needs. A lot of professors were excellent, I think the issue was the curriculum. There were not enough elective classes so I wasn't able to study the areas I was interested in. Quite a few of the required classes felt either unnecessary or as if they could have been taught in a shorter length of time than a complete semester. Upon graduating I immediately entered a certificate program which offered the skills I felt I was missing to be a competent counselor . The program also did not provide efficient support for career seeking. It could be due to issues with the MHC degree itself, regardless finding an internship and job was an extremely difficult process."

"Fordham University makes sure to give you all the resources you need in order to confidently pursue your degree. They make sure to always gather feedback for improvement and help us maintain support within the students. Though it is expensive, it is worth it. The professors are qualified, know their stuff, and push you past your limits to success."

"I believe the support from faculty, the type of courses, small class sizes, fieldwork experiences are a tremendous assest to the my graduate program. The tuition, financial aid/scholarships, access to support staff for financial aid, and certain technology service could use improvement."

"Being a newly admitted student in the Master's of Mental Heath Counseling program I am completely happy and content with my decision to attend Fordham University. It is a great university and I know that it will aid in my development in being an effective psychologist. The only con is the expenses that comes a long with being a student here. 1200 per credit!!!!! I still can't believe it. However, I will do everything in my power to stay in school and continue my education."

"The only con would be the cost of the program; however, the school is well known and the quality of the program is worth the price. The program provides a warm and inviting environment for students. The professors are accessible outside of class and eager to help."
