"Hardin-Simmons provided a quality education, and prepared me for medical school. My peers were supportive, and we really worked hard to support each other, and see one another succeed. While the professors did quality work teaching, some are more approachable than others. It makes it hard sometimes, if you feel bothersome to ask questions outside of class time. If you are looking for a quality education, with like-minded, and supportive individuals, Hardin-Simmons is a great location."

"Hardin-Simmons provides classes that will provide good insight into the criminal justice system and how its three components (police, court, corrections) work together. The Bachelor's Degree will give you a great boost if you plan on heading into the patrol field upon graduating. However, if your desire is to become someone who works with CPS, a mental institution, DPS, Forensic labs, or crime scene investigation, it is recommended to move to the Masters Program, which will provide more in-depth focus on three different pathways in the criminal justice system."

"You get a personal education at HSU. Each instructor is interested in you and wants to help you succeed. Advisors are GREAT- my advisor is a major reason of why I was accepted into medical school. Abilene is a little bit boring, but there are great people and a lot of campus activities. Extracurricular aren't as numerous as big schools, but there is still a good variety."

"Hardin-Simmons University has a great small college atmosphere in a community that supports the college. HSU provides an academically challenging education based on a liberal arts foundation. A private university located in Abilene, Texas and is affiliated with Baptist General Convention."

"This University is an excellent choice for many degrees in the liberal arts. For the sciences, besides pre-physical therapy, however, there was a huge lack of interest in actually preparing students for careers. Many of the classes were haphazardly done, mostly because of the professor in charge, who had no interest in actually making sure classes were taught properly."

"I LOVED Hardin Simmons! I went for both undergrad and graduate school. It's a small school with professors who are personal and care about the well being of their students. The school has a close knit, fun atmosphere. Great school!"

"The little campus was a haven for making good friends and trying new things not typically available at large schools. I got to compete in sports and participate in choir. I volunteered with a local horse therapy center. My adviser and professors were good humored and engaged with with their students. The atmosphere was inviting and cooperative."

"The program is very hands on and there is little lecture, mainly projects, research, and papers. While there is academic support, as a graduate student you are expected to manage your assignments better than a undergrad student."

"The graduate department at Hardin-Simmons has changed my life. Going to school there to continue my education was the best decision I have made and has truly helped shape who I have become, what I have learned about myself, and what I want to do in life."
