"Hendrix college purposely withholds information during the application process. For example, they had already dropped the education major and minor the year before I enrolled. Their website did not reflect this change, and neither did any of the admissions staff and countless other administrative staff I spoke to as a prospective student who was interested in minoring in education (as was listed on my paperwork). Then my sophomore year, Hendrix completely dropped their German program without warning and without a way for those in the middle of their degree to finish it, siting budget issues despite tuition fees in the 60,000s per year after room and board. Hendrix then forced us to do online classes during covid without cutting the cost of the classes themselves, despite noticeably lower quality classes. Finally after trying to do an extra year to get a degree I hadn't even gone there for (and it's almost impossible to transfer somewhere else by sophomore/junior year without losing most of your progress due to Hendrix's specialized courses) I took a leave of absence, after which Hendrix threw away over $1000 worth of my possessions with less than 24 hours of notice. They now expect me to pay them even more money to be able to get my transcript from them. Save yourself some trouble and go somewhere that has administration that doesn't actively lower the quality of education."

"Hendrix College will expand you, change you, and make you a more engaged thinker. The Hendrix College experience is not for everyone, but if you are looking for a tight-nit family, a culture of acceptance, and professors who care deeply about developing the minds of their students, then Hendrix College might just be what you are looking for."

"It's appropriate to say the experiences in the college changed my life. Rigorous academics, friendly professors and engaging social life."

"I wanted a school where my professors knew my name and I wasn't just an ID number. With small class sizes hendrix gave me just that. The liberal arts curriculum let me explore different subject areas. Classes are not about just leaning facts but learning how to learn. With no Greek system parties are for the entire campus and epic!"
