"As a recent 8/2024 Largo graduate & alumni, I'm blessed to be a part of the Jersey family. This course or school is not for everyone, the amount of information and time constraints are not easy. The school is very fast paced, and the assignments are detailed and time consuming, which I was thankful for after the fact. I did complain and cuss about the process because it seems like so much, but now that I'm a RN I look back and I'm glad it was hard, it definitely made me a better RN. We all go through the process of, Am I supposed to do this, Do I want to do this, we cry, laugh and have mixed emotions of nursing school, I know myself and my classmates did this together the whole 2 years. That is what nursing school is, BONDING. I made lifetime friendships with the instructors and fellow students because of nursing school. Jersey has strict rules and trust me I was like "really" ugh this is bs, but it set the reality of what future employers are wanting. My school was 6 semesters, and I highly recommend getting organized before starting class, get your books early (if possible), make a dedicated place to study, if you have children, it's hard to study and take care of them (they don't understand why) go to the library, they have quiet rooms to study with no interruptions. My schedule was insane, I worked fulltime 48 hours a week in the ER and 3 days a week at school, so my 3 days at school were very long days and nights, I started early and went to bed late. When you get online assignments get them done early, I took one day and tried to knock them out for the next week or two, they sneak up on you quickly (life happens). Ask for help, the only wrong question, is the one that wasn't asked. Remember not everyone knows the answer (even though you'll have that one person in class that thinks they do, lol) we all start somewhere and may know the answer or were also scared to ask (don't be) get the information the instructors are there to share with you. Need extra help show up for tutoring, I was always at tutoring even if I did not need help that week, I figured I may hear or learn something I may have missed. Sleep is rare in school with life and jobs, I kept a blanket and pillow in a car and ate my lunch quickly and went to take a little nap to recharge, find what works for you to make you successful. Remember- Show up early, if class starts at 8am- late is 7:45, you need time to get in your seat and setup. Prepare for the unexpected- Healthcare is ever changing, so is nursing school. "I am proud and honored to be a Jersey College (Ft Lauderdale Campus) graduate and alumni. One of the best decisions I’ve ever made in my career. The school is simply not for the easygoing and/or procrastinators. You must be dedicated and hardworking but it is well worth the efforts and sacrifices I had mostly great experiences with my professors who were always very diligent and even passionate about their teaching and are well experienced and knowledgeable in their fields. The administrators really do care if you are serious about your learning. Your experience is truly based on what you put in. I give it my all because I really needed this and had no backup plan and the support I received was truly unparalleled. From the beginning to the end of the program I vowed to take every class once and I did so all the way to my NCLEX Exam! Which I also Passed the 1st time! My professors were always very supportive and challenged me all the way to the end. The administrators even assisted with personal challenges to help ensure my success. I am truly grateful for all of their contributions in achieving my dreams of becoming a RN."

I just recently started so my experience is pretty new however I can say there is a lot of ways to make up points and the professors have all been really nice so far Professor J is definitely my favorite She really cares about her students and wants them to do very well. Hopefully everything continues on a good path. I’ll keep you guys updated!!!"

"In my experience you will be made to feel like a number and little more. I know the Farragut school is new but I was expecting better student services and administration. A little empathy could go a long way as once they have you as a student they no longer care enough to support you."
