"A joke does not suffice how horrible and HORRENDOUS this school is. From The staff to the financial aid department people working here are imbeciles. They hire high pitched people for the advisement (recruiters ) who sound like they've been drinking coffee or on cocaine providing false hope and 30,000 forms to sign in one day giving you no space to think and breath. Then they take you to the financial aid office where they have a horrible attitude or just look so depress, no experience in the field, all they know is "please sign here and here" without any explanation on what your signing. And if your like me you READ EVERYTHING IN THAT OFFICE BEFORE SIGNING! But but the man who was assigned to me kept rushing me.. I should of seen the sign then... That's not even the worst part.. The main teacher for OTA "Coach" doesn't even have a freaking teaching degree!!! She was in the field for a few yrs and came back to the school I guess looking for the job and I guess they just hired her ..so she just reads from the book and talk about her experience in the field. you would think you would get the highest education from a private school that is charging you $40,000-$60,000 for a 1yr and half program . YEA RIGHT, Furniture in the class room looks like its from my grandmothers 1989 wedding but yet all the admin and adviser office is up to date and remolded but our classroom tables are so small and narrow my books fall off at times. Last but not least I failed Kinesiology by one point! (%69) and could not go to the next course, that was in 2018 and I waited a yr to go back (2020)due to some family issues now these people who already charged me $10,000 FOR 3 STUPID MONTHS (Not including books or uniform) are telling me I need to start from intro.. I think freaking NOT never missed a day of class, still worked FULL TIME at a fertility clinic, turned in all my assignments on time, paying additionally $600 school fee on top of the $10,000 student loan that was used for 3 months and your telling me I need to start from scratch! what a SHAME! last but not least THEY HAVE FAVORITES and they show it with no shame. I want this school to be brought to LIGHT! do not go here PLEASE!"

"I attend Keiser university, Pembroke Pines campus for the occupational therapy Assistant program. So far the staff have been nothing but amazing and my teachers are fantastic, especially my psychology teacher Adriana Repaci. Yes the school is intense and you have to pay attention and work at a fast pace, but isn’t that why we go to college? To push ourselves to be ready for a competitive work environment! If working at a fast pace and having to pay attention in class isn’t for you, then I suggest you try a community college or fast food!"

"Veterans and non veterans, go to a community/state college. Do not waste your time with Keiser University. The instructors are very unprofessional. The instructor should be there to help you but they turn out to be the biggest bullies and so is the administration because they will not back you up, hence $$$ thats all they see. The curriculum is very fast pace and if you fail a class it takes months for you to get into the next one. They are in the business to make money so dont kid yourself into thinking they care. Your GI Bill will be all gone in a flash, they love GIs for that. If you want a proper education go to one of the schools I mentioned above, youll get more for your money and still left over. They will suck your money right out of you. Keiser is an expensive school that is not worth your time. Im warning my fellow comrades and non military as well. Take the advice and you will not be disappointed. I cant believe this school is operational."

"First of all, the lady that teaches Kinesiology is unqualified...She does not even have a Masters. She does not like questions, her power points are horrible, and her exams are filled with so many mistakes. She has favorites especially those that do not question her because quite honestly they do no know any better. She is abrasive and the open door policy with her is false. She speaks horribly about other students with other students and we hear back. Please have someone more qualified because she is not. People make sacrifices and this school is not cheap. Subsequently, this class does not have an accompanying lab. They have a lot of stupid papers which is such a waste of time. Now I know why no one takes Keiser seriously."

"Keiser University is definitely a school that I would recommend to others. Although it is a private school, which many seem to frown upon, it is actually pretty good. They only do one class at a time, and you always finish that class in one month. Then you never have to go back again. It's just nice to know that you can concentrate on one subject at a time and don't have to juggle between classes. They still count semesters just like everyone, and you still get at least 4 classes each semester, it just makes it more simple."

"The school is great and the faculty is awesome. I love how cozy the school is. It makes it nice to come here, feels like family. Dr. Chapman was so great in all of our classes. We held study groups once a week to go over everything in class to make sure that everyone had everything down."

"It has been a few years since my last degree earned from Keiser and while I can say I'm professionally excelling I do not give much credit to the institution for my success. The professor demonstrated poor leadership and assistance. Once you graduate you will not be given grants your entitled to and will be left with what in reality is an unethical cost for a degree. Many COTAs who graduated from this university are not knowledgeable of the new healthcare regulations or documentation requirements. My personal experience from having hands on experience with management/operation within scope of practice of CMS, ACHA and all relating federal state regulations is that Keiser does not prepare and is behind with the healthcare changes. As a former graduate of Keiser as COTA the education level and hands on is not even close to being worth the cost you'll pay for it unless you have a current position you are growing in for increased clinical degree in short time. The financial aid do not educate in loans, grants or cost....sad that today in the world when 90% of the graduated adults will live in credit their is not a course on loans and etc for the new college students but a rush stack of papers requiring signatures so they can be processed for the beginning semester. After the vent to sum up my experience; the education is not worth cost and you will find yourself trying to educate yourself and felling angry."

"Tampa: I at first liked this college until I failed out of the program needing two more classes to complete the course. This school is a fast paced school meaning you take one month classes and you have to learn an entire book within that month. You have to learn up to 10 chapters the first 2 weeks with a midterm, presentations, and research papers. I wanted to get out of the program going into the second class. I was told that I could do it so I kept on. I again tried to get out on the 3rd class. Again I was told I could do this. I know myself and knew that I could not handle a fast paced program. I eventually made it far but it came with a cost. My health was bad. I wasn't sleeping much, I fell into depressions, and I was always sick with asthma. Still the director kept pushing me forward telling me that this was meant for me. Well she was wrong. I have no problem with my failure. My issue is with the staff of Keiser university who have nothing but incompetent fools working there. When I failed my class I did not show up the next day. I emailed the director telling her why I could not make it that day. She never responded to my email. I then went to school the following day to sign off from the school. I asked the Dean if I would owe any money to the school because I was using my husbands VA. She said no but to check with the VA office in that school. I went to speak with the man there and he said I would not owe the VA or the school any money. Christmas comes around and I get billed $3000. I failed the program in October. I go back when the school reopens after the holidays to ask about that. I emailed the Dean before that to which he never responded back. The billing lady checked for me and she said "oh the balance was taken off." I believed her and went home. Months pass and I get a call from a collections agency that I owe 3k to Keiser. I don't know whats going on so AGAIN I go back to this college. No one knew what the hell was going on. Eventually I was told that the reason why I owe Keiser was because they had to pay the VA back the money that the VA paid for my last class. So in other words Keiser lost money so they go after me. My next question to them is why was I not notified about this balance. First they tell me I don't owe, then they tell me I do, then they tell me my balance was taken off and now this? I would have been able to set a plan with this school a long time ago but no, they didn't notify me and they send my balance to the collectors who have been harassing me telling me to pay $300 right away after knowing that my husband lost his job as well as I because we were moving to Texas and could not pay that amount. The billing lady supposedly tried to get me out of collections and all she could say was sorry you have to pay through them now. I talked to the Dean yet again and nothing was done. So to them its not their problem after they put me through all that crap and all those run arounds. Great job Keiser University. You need to hire more competent people here. I wish I could talk to the president but no one seems to want to help me contact him. So NO I don't recommend this college. Try other Keiser schools but not the one in Tampa."

"I love reading these posts, especially the ones that blame Keiser for their problems life, “the teachers don’t teach, the financial aid don’t tell you up front, the Deans don’t listen when I come complaining. That’s why I failed. I Likewise, I bet you deserve credit for thinks like.” I never been to jail, I never missed by child support payments, I never did drugs”. Guess what you’re not supposed too. Funny my teachers teach, I know what the classes cost, because it said so when I looked when I signed the contract, and when I see the Dean’s their really cool. So if you allow me to warn you as well….. BEWARE….Keiser is intense it’s 1 class 5 hrs. a day 5 days a week, every day. That means YOU have to be able to comprehend the material from at least 1 new chapter, every day 5 days a week, and be tested on it-EVERY Friday. Furthermore, once you’re in your core (major) classes, add in an evidence based 7-10 page typed APA paper, plus and a few competencies both due in the beginning of week 3 -EVERY month. Oh, you have to maintain a minimum 2.75 GPA per semester for 1.5 years…that means 1 C for every 3 B’s, or you don’t move on, you move out. We lost about 30% of the class after the 3rd. class because they thought it was more important to show up when it was convenient, check their cell phone every 15 minutes and complain how the work load was unfair, because they had jobs, bill, kids, and problems at home. They thought they deserved more respect as they were special. I can’t believe he won’t give me extra credit, a couple more days to finish my paper or let me take a makeup exams. SORRY, not at Keiser. But most of us not only survived, we excelled. The common thread….We showed up every day, on time & prepared, then we listened to the lecture, took notes went home and studied are butts off, wrote papers and studied some more, and did so every day 7 days a week for 16 months….and most of us had jobs, bills, kids etc. So as they say BEWARE, if you can apply yourself you will graduate, if not don’t waste your money (2K a month) and don’t worry there are plenty of minimum wage jobs available for all of you that think you’re SPECIAL."

"The instructors are great! However, the staff including the deans, Finical aid, and program directors are a joke! They don't allow any food or drinks (including water) in the 5 hour long classrooms. The deans try to control the instructors and students and it's affecting the academics. They are very unprofessional and childish. They say they have an open door policy but lie to you when you ask them questions. I would take your money elsewhere."

"Keiser University is the most awful, unorganized and unprofessional school I have ever attended. The financial aid office is rude, the bursar's office is extremely rude, not sure why then they are ACCEPTING MY MONEY. Lastly, some of the teaching staff is completely unethical and harassing problems. They try to be smooth and call over speaker phone because they know their school is shady. I WOULD NOT recommend this school to anyone unless you have money you just want to waste. Spoke to an official OT with masters degree and they explained what a joke the school is."

"Keiser is a good school. In order to succeed at this school you have to be focused and be ready for a fast paced learning environment. You have to study daily to make sure that you are retaining the information.At this school you are incharge of your own success. You have to have a positive mind set and remove all distractions. The OTA program will have you working and starting your career in no time. You have to be ready to take school seriously and make your education a top priority!"

"Well i attended Keiser back in Oct of 2010 I thought it was great, small classes once a month. Student services sucked Financial aid ladies none of them knew what they were doing all they seemed too know what shade of pink they decorated there desks with completely incompetent people. The dean looks like shes 22 and also acts like a child you get no where with here. She's also incapable of giving direct answers the books where ridiculously expensive couldn't find on amazon and the classes well wow super super expensive but i got all 2's in the 4 months i was there. I had to stop going for a month because of a trip i was taking and never stated i was dropping my clinical classes where scheduled for may 2011 when i came back from my trip I found that i had been withdrawn from the program without any notice at all. So when i came back from my trip trying to resolve the issue they had moved the waiting time all the way back to may 2013 this happened in 2011. I was so upset i stop going to school and so after a year i went back to my community college Miami dade. I'm really interested in getting back to the occupational therapy program but its the only accredited OTA program remotely close to my home. A previous comment makes a lot of sense though they are graduating so many ota's that by the time i graduate I might have a hard time trying to find employment. So im not really sure what to do but i hope this helps someone."
