"Be prepared for automated calls reminding you to register for classes. I chose Liberty because there is a military discount. As with many online programs, there is a lot of "busy work" with discussion posts, discussion responses, tests, and writing submissions due on different days of the week. I much prefer the classes that have a single due date but those are few and far between. Another concern is that many of the professors do not have PHDs. Those instructors are easy to recognize because they have lengthy quizzes with short time limits that include questions about obscure statements in the text or videos with no real value. In all, I needed LU is a viable option for online schooling. But, I cannot say that the education is benefitting my career."

"Excellent school with ample resources, cutting-edge technology, and a caring faculty to aide in my educational success. The professors pray for and encourage their students throughout each course. If they only offered a MAT program with single subject credentialing education here in California, I would continue with Liberty. I highly recommend Liberty!"

"Really bad experience at Liberty. I received my I am a former military soldier and veteran with the GI Bill. I spent two years at the school, taking online classes. I felt the school operates much like a for profit school, in regards to size. They have an admissions office the size of the University of Phoenix in Arizona! Remember, the size of the school means nothing about how good it is. Half the students struggle academically (you can tell by the discussion interaction in the classes), and most are admitted automatically. There are no real admission standards. I received continual emails from financial aid, and seemed the school really doesn't care about how much debt students take out. The average student graduates with over $20K of debt from a school that is not very reputable outside of Virginia. You will be limited with this degree, I guarantee. Consider better schools with better reputations, such as Virginia Tech, Florida, or other state schools."
