"This MSW program has gone so downhill over the years. Started before pandemic and it has been issue after issue after issue since beginning in 2019. From instructors to administrators to full time faculty in this MSW program. Admitted me in 2019 and immediately closed my satellite campus 2 months after beginning. The school did not offer any compromises or support. If you are not looking at main campus, do not attend this program or school for any graduate degree. Satellite students are not integrated or supported. Marywood hardly offers any online classes at all, unrelated to COVID-19. When the pandemic begin, they changed all online systems and did not train instructors. The registration system hardly works a year later and most register still on paper. The MSW program is a huge mess with 2 different directors over the last 2 years. The field department is mismanaged, including the director of field just plain ignoring students about placements and other faculty in the department not completing paperwork or returning emails. You are on your own with your field placement. Classes are SO subpar, and I have not learned anything new. Many classes feel like repeated information, including even repeated assignments. This department is so mismanaged and consistently has failed to support me as a graduate student and social worker. It's a shame because some of the instructors really care and embody social work. The university itself is somewhat better but their financial aid office is much worse than the state school I attended for undergrad. AVOID IF YOU WANT AN MSW. This program has fallen from grace and no longer matches its reputation."

"Undergraduate studies here were pretty solid but graduate was a joke. I would not recommend for anything above a bachelor's degree."

"Â The Masters MFA in Illustration program at Marywood University provides excellent opportunities to tour different cities in the US where students meet publishers, designers, illustrators, Creative/Artistic Directors, and their teams. This inside information is crucial to furthering our careers and individual work and many connections have been developed through these experiences. Additionally, the assignments completed in-between study tours and on-campus classes are challenging to both the design- and illustration-track students. They promote design thinking, out-of-the-box solutions, and creativity. The critiques are thorough and the peer and professional feedback are valuable."

"I first graduated from Marywood University in 2011 with my BA in Political Science/Law. After starting graduate school at a different institution, I didn't feel at home and soon returned to my alma mater to complete my MBA. Marywood is a place that welcomes you with open arms! The small class sizes allow for 1-on-1 attention that is crucial in a higher education atmosphere. At Marywood, you're never just a number. Faculty get to know you by name, so you're able to develop an excellent rapport with your teachers. Also, the professional staff are top notch and are always there to help. They recognize that college, even grad school, can be a tide of good waves and bad ones. Faculty and staff are there to help you navigate the sea of college and arrive at your final destination- graduation! I enjoyed my time at Marywood so much that I have decided to enroll once more and am now completing my PhD degree! Marywood has opened so many doors for me and it will certainly do the same for you!"

"While the college was beautiful, there was not a great internship program or job placement program which would have helped. Great professor student ratios"

"I love Marywood. They truly have bent over backwards to help me to successfully complete my Masters, as well as my Bachelor's in 2012. I've had every obstacle imaginable being a non-traditional student. FT mother of 3 in her 30's. Daycare, unplanned 3rd pregnancy, lost of income and transportation, and reached limits on loan aids. Every department in that school was so easy to talk to and accomadating that it saddens me now that I am finished. Graduate school was so very difficult for me. I didn't have the GPA needed so I had to add another year on, but I finally did it and am DONE as of 3 weeks ago:) Choose this school and you won't regret it. But you might end up crying at the end like me of having to leave these wonderful people behind that I've created some very close bonds with."

"Marywood University gave me the skills and experience necessary for me to be successful in my field of practice. Practicum and internship are extremely important as well as having the background knowledge as my foundation. The professors at this university truly cared about my success and struggles and worked with me so that I could earn my masters. Marywood University's alumni strive for success and excel in professionalism. As we say "Lead on", Marywood University will give you the opportunity to make a significant and meaning impact in the lives of others. The atmosphere at this private university is also breath taking and there is a sense of peace to this environment, not to mention the architecture of this breath taking University. I strongly encourage any one who has an interest to visit the campus. Marywood also is generous with their financial assistance."

"My time in college was awesome. I made some great friends and learned a lot. The university was smaller than most, which made for an intimate and home-like experience."

"The academic program is very good and the teachers are very good. The clinical preparation is very good as well. On the downside, the financial aid, technology and student health offices are unhelpful and unresponsive. The technology for printing is outdated and the fees are high for everything on top of an expensive, private school tuition."

"The Physician Assistant program faculty are extremely helpful and truly want every student to succeed. I highly recommend this program. The faculty consists of a wide array of healthcare professionals which immerses students in a diverse pool of knowledge. The physician assistant building on Marywood University's campus was recently renovated. The classroom is very comfortable and a learner-friendly environment. The skills lab is huge and allows every student a space to practice clinical applications. Also, students take a few courses at the local medical college and that was a first-rate experience. The only negative aspect of Marywood is the lack of communication by the financial aid department."

"I wish there was more involvement with students on preparing them for careers after graduate school. I would've appreciated more attention or interest from professors in my major as well. I felt like my best mentors were very much outside my major (i.e.: I was a painting student, yet my best mentors were in the ceramics, illustration, and art history department). The environment is nurturing amongst the cohort itself, but the faculty involvement, at least in the painting program is rather minimal. I would have liked for painting professors to take a more active interest in the grad students, having more one on ones and conversations outside of just studio hours. My favorite thing about Marywood is that the art building was accessible to art students 24/7 via their id cards. The grad painting students also got individual studios accessible only by key, which each student held."

"Marywood University is an outstanding school. Overall, the University is very supportive and works with you when you have a problem. For me the workload was overwhelming, but I realized that that was my own personal choice and the school is working with me. The campus is beautiful and safe. I am in the Masters Program and it is quite expensive, which I did receive enough financial aid to cover the costs, plus I also received two scholarships from the University. The education and experience is worth the money."

"There was no option for Physician Assistant or "other" so I chose M.D. for the specific program. The Marywood Physician Assistant program is dedicated to providing students with an exceptional education to prepare them for both the PANCE exam and the real world of medicine. They have a top notch staff consisting of some of the best physicians and physician assistants in the area, as well as a newly remodeled facility. Marywood has one of the only PA programs around who have the opportunity to spend an entire semester in a gross anatomy lab at The Commonwealth Medical College, where both anatomy and physiology are taught by the same faculty who teach the M.D. students. Unfortunately, Marywood University's financial aid and cashier's office are not top notch. The staff are quite unhelpful and rude at times and they are unorganized."

"The Physician Assistant program at Marywood University gives students an excellent foundation for succeeding in the health care world. The program is an intense two years, but it is so worth it. The information that is learned in those two years is so beneficial and priceless. The teachers do an excellent job preparing us for the real world!"
