"Mayo is an excellent place to earn a DPT degree. The facility is top notch, the faculty are dedicated and well informed educators, and it is an amazing opportunity to learn from world class healthcare professionals who can come and share their wealth of knowledge with you, in addition to the full time faculty. Would definitely recommend the program to anyone interested in physical therapy."

"Faculty have a wide array of clinical PT experience. They are extremely helpful and friendly and treat you as an equal. My small class size allows for rapid bonding and chemistry building of my class. Overall Mayo Clinic PT program has far surpassed my expectations, and I love every moment in the program."

"Mayo Clinic's Doctor of Physical Therapy program was wonderful! I felt that it prepared me very well for the field of physical therapy and my work as a clinician. As a student of Mayo Clinic, I believe I will have many job opportunities because our program is highly recommended and well valued among hospitals and clinics across the nation. We have more clinical education hours built into our program compared to most programs across the country, and I found this extremely valuable. I worked hard throughout the program, but I also felt extremely supported by the faculty and staff. Their support was integral to my success. I would highly recommend this program to any student pursuing a career in Physical Therapy."

"The Mayo Clinic is consistently one of the top Medical Institutes in the nation. As a student here we are able to learn from leaders in the medical profession and individuals who are known for their expertise around the globe. We have a small core faculty and only 28 students is our program a year. You get to know you instructors and fellow classmates on a personal level a develop relationships that will aid you in your future career. Honestly it is difficult for me to think of any negatives about the program we do have one of the heaviest credit loads when compared to other programs, although this at the time seems like a negative it makes you a more competent and confident medical practitioner. We have 56 weeks’ worth of full time clinical experiences and you play a vital role in deciding where those are at and are not assigned them by random drawing. This means by the time you graduate you have essentially had a years’ worth of actual clinical practice preparing you for any practice setting."

"Mayo has provided me more than I could ever ask for out of a graduate institution. The faculty are incredibly knowledgable, yet can still communicate on the student level and give very clinically applicable material. The resources that are at hand are second to none. The network I've been able to build within and around the profession will serve me well and everyone remarks how the name carries a weight that makes an impact. I could not be happier with my experience her and the value of my education. One drawback people often focus on is the social life in Rochester. I would say that although the night life isn't anything to get to too excited about, there are a ton of things to do in the area, visit surround novel towns, or take part in city events/fairs."

"The Mayo Doctor of Physical Therapy Program is an amazing opportunity. Encountering both fellow students and colleagues, as well as other medical field professionals leads to interdepartmental communication and discovery that can't be had in any other program. It leaves you with a feeling of professionalism and preparedness to enter the field of PT, as well as the medical world at large in a unique way."

"The Mayo School of Health Sciences prepares each student for a career as a physical therapist in order to provide high-quality, patient-centered care. Each student is instilled with the core values of respect, compassion, integrity, healing, teamwork, excellence, innovation, and stewardship. Students in this program will complete a case report and group research project and many of these are published in well-established, peer-reviewed journals. There are also opportunities to complete international trips to Honduras, service learning projects, and volunteer work."

I have enjoyed my education because we have such a supportive faculty and student body that is willing to put time and effort forth to making this a good learning environment."

"I feel that Mayo offers a unique community that is both local and international. You can see patients at Mayo with rare disorders that you would never see anywhere else. You can attend Grand Rounds with leading researchers one day and the next day visit the weekly farmer's market. It's a great blend."

"The Mayo School of Health Sciences is an incredible graduate school that offers a wide array of professional degrees. It is a highly competitive academic institution that integrates students into their desired fields throughout their education in a manner that is matched by no other program. The specialized staff available greatly adds to the educational process and students are able to form close-knit friendships with their professors. The only con is that they expect their students to dress and act in a professional manner to the extent that they must dress up for class. Though I hardly consider that a con."
