"Pros My graduate program has truly prepared me as an emerging public health professional. Between conducting qualitative and quantitative public health research, participating in practicum experiences, and presenting in research conferences/symposiums, I have become well-rounded and marketable. Another great aspect of this program was the ability to connect with the community. This was implemented by conducting windshield surveys and environmental scans during my Fundamentals of Public Health course. A windshield survey is an observational tool used in qualitative research to get an idea of what the community and the community's interaction look like. Another great experience is the ease of access to faculty and staff. They always made themselves readily available for students. Cons With all of the successes of the program, there are always areas for improvement. The main improvement would be in the area of resources, providing more scholarships opportunities of incoming graduate students and possibly continuing graduate students. Graduate school especially at a private institution is very expensive."
