"Much of the time first year students aren't too sure about their career goals. Essex community College is a great place to complete all those general education requirements whilst you are making a decision about what you actually want to do in life. Why waist money taking the same courses you can take at a junior college at an expensive university? Essex Community College has a plethora of tools useful for discovering not only what career you would be interested in, but what you'll be great at as well. I was glad I went to Essex first, before attending a university. It made the financial load a whole lot lighter."

"Northern Essex Community College is a great college to start out in and complete your associates degree. The campus is well taken care of and quite equipped. There are many student resources, including but not limited to a great cafe, tutoring center, gym, track, science labs, outdoor seating, student store, etc. They even offer classes to students still in high school which I took my senior year of high school out of my high school. If you are a student who really applies yourself and reaches out to resources this is the school for you. The class difficulty varies of course. Id say the most difficult classes are the online/hybrid classes. Almost every professor is rated on rate my professor for more details on the classes. The scheduling is very flexible and for the most part if you register as soon as possible you can get any class you want. Don't always buy your text books right away, often times the professors have cheaper versions they allow you to have or do not require them at all. The college overall is one of the best community colleges around. The advisors are so friendly and helpful, they will certainly help you on your career path and make your time at NECC pleasant."
