"I adore NU. It is a top 14 school right in the middle of Chicago. It will provide you with enormous opportunity and a quality education. That being said, the downsides are exactly what you would expect from any law school: enormous debt and a heavy workload."

"Northwestern is an amazing place to go to law school. The academic caliber of the faculty as well as the students far exceeded my expectations. Both professors and students genuinely seem interested in your success as a student and go out of their way to provide and inform you of opportunities at the school and for your career. If there is a con it is that the workload can sometimes be overbearing. While it's probably true at any law school, it seems that academic deadlines and professional (from NU) obligations seem to fall at the same time.Read Less"

"Compared to what I have heard about other law schools, Northwestern has a supportive environment. The nature of law school is at times unreasonably competitive, and Northwestern is not immune from sometimes feeling this way. Most of my friends at Northwestern worked before law school, for at least 2 or more years, and this diversity of experience results in a generally mature and interesting student body. I have been really happy with the variety of offerings Northwestern has, despite the fact that some things are given WAY more focus. Chicago is a great place to go to school. I can't believe how affordable it is, especially when you live a little ways away from the campus (which I highly recommend).Read Less"

"I personally am very proud of the law program. I do believe certain small things can be adjusted as it relates to the types of employment that are pushed by the career center, but that is it. Aside from that, there is no other place I'd rather be. The faculty and staff are always polite and available, and I believe the school provides a healthy mix of social life and academics. I would highly recommend that one strongly consider joining the northwestern law community."
