"I attended an HBCU and it was the best decision I ever made. I enjoyed coming to this great institution as I learned how to be an adult during the 5 years I was a student. This institution provided academic growth, social growth, and leadership growth as I served in many capacities. The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff is a great place to advance your learning and develop everyday living skills."

"The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff is an institution where the faculty want to see you accomplish your goals and will go physically out of their way to see you succeed. This was imperative when it came to my studies since I was an athlete, I would often miss class and required to make up assignments, quizzes, and tests. For campus life, this institution is filled with high-energy and great school spirit. Just like any university, it is what you make it. Soak up every minute of your college experience because those will be the best years of your life. These are the years that you find yourself, establish what you enjoy, and determine the type of people you want to surround yourself with. I feel as though UAPB does a great job of making students feel at home, while still providing an explorative nature to give students to grow within their environment. It was at this university that I could see the growth within myself academically and as a person. UAPB truly acts as a family and this can be seen if you attend by alumni who come back every year for homecoming. This annual event is full of friendly people offering food, words of encouragement, and celebrating their university that allowed them to make a better life for themselves. Thats what it is all about, giving back to those who made it all possible and helping shape current students who will create a better future."

"My HBCU is one of the best. I was a afforded a great education at a low cost. My professors were very intelligent and able to relay hard concepts and skills. They taught with passion and confidence. The campus culture was inviting and fun. There is always something to do on the yard. I love my HBCU. I learned the most from this institution and it helped me grow as a person."

"Small school that provides personalized education and prepares you for the work force. The small size provides opportunities for instructors to really get to know the students and become involved in helping them become successful. However the campus is growing adding more degrees and career fields."

"If you are planning to attend the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff as a mass communications major, I say be prepared to learn. The instructors in communication all have experience of working in the field before coming to UAPB. Certain instructors at other universities teach by the book. At UAPB, instructors teach by the book and more. You learn how to write, speak, read and protray your professionalism as the book states but you learn how to take that information and make it your own. I am glad I chose my university and HBCU to obtain my degree."
