"Haas is absolutely the best MBA program that I could imagine. The students are intelligent, passionate, and engaged. The faculty and administration truly care about the students and the quality of education and do everything they can to optimize our experience. The mix of social and academic opportunities is amazing. I am pursuing a social impact career, and Haas has incredible resources in this area, including the newly launched Institute for Social and Business Impact."

"Berkeley is hard to get into, however very worth it. The network, the brand name, the education is all top notch. Yes, it's expensive. But it should pay itself back within a few years from the bump in salary."

"I'm in a doctoral program at the Haas School of Business. My overall experience is great. I was a research assistant at Columbia Business School for a few years before coming here and I have to say that the quality of interactions with the professors and students here at Haas is much better. To be successful in a competitive graduate school, I believe one must have a high level of agency. That is, one must be outgoing, hard working, and able to do what it takes to get faculty sponsorship. So, I would say that anyone without the ability to "sell" themselves and gain faculty sponsorship will have a hard time in this doctoral program. Nonetheless, there is a culture of "non sibi" and a focus on helping train the next generation of academics at Haas that I did not find at Columbia Business School. Since I'm a New Yorker, I have to say that Oakland and Berkeley are not what I would call cities. The public transport is inefficient, although all UC Berkeley students get a free bus pass. San Francisco is close enough, but it's still a 20-30 minute BART ride, and you have to make sure your night ends at midnight, else you'll have to crash in the city (because the BART closes around midnight)."
