"The University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration is ranked as the best Social Work graduate program in the country for a reason: it is amazing. I love the professors, the design of the curriculum, the alumni network and career services, and the network of 800 field placements in the Chicago area. Really, the only down side is that it is very expensive. If you consider it an investment in your future, however, it is definitely a good investment."

"The department is pretty diverse as far as backgrounds, personalities and academic interests. The support from faculty as well as other students is great."

"It's a great program. The courses in statistics is a little theoretical. If they could include more courses of optimization, algorithm or operations, that would be great. Professors are great. It is a good experience."

"A rigorous school that sometimes tries a little too hard to prove itself to the ivys. Some pretension, mostly intellectual, not status. Students are often socially inept, not at all helped by the fact that the workload almost precludes social interaction or extracurriculars. But all in all a school that obviously cares about the intellectual life and is driven by its demands."

"Academically rigorous and challenging but the student interactions are really nice for socializing. Good reputation among future employers and other graduate schools, sets students up well for their future."

"The CIR program was very challenging but fulfilling. The classes on offer were fantastic, the sheer flexibility in terms of how we could structure our own program was excellent."

"A very strong school with a pretty nice campus. One of the best places to study Physics in the world. Strong ties with a couple of National Laboratories and institutions across the globe."

"There is no hand-holding in this program, and students must be extra motivated to complete independent projects that are likely to receive faculty feedback only towards the end. It seems that the other top programs are more nurturing; however, Chicago's program ensures you'll succeed on your own in any situation."

"I feel like I am receiving rigorous training in anthropology at UChicago. The institution itself has lots to offer, as does the city of Chicago. It's important to take time to explore and learn about the city outside of Hyde Park, the neighbourhood where the university is located."

"Excellent professors, great academic rigour, and general atmosphere of constant intellectual stimulation. However, it could do with being better structured in terms of requirements so that students may graduate in 5 or 6 years rather the average time taken, which is much longer."

"It's a very pricey program, but the quality of education is top notch. The school is known for its career services office, which works extremely hard to get jobs with competitive salaries for students."

"Booth is one of the best schools in the world, if not the very best. The faculty are top notch, the staff are fantastic, and I learn a lot from my peers too. I'm about halfway through the part-time program and continue to want to pursue general management and entrepreneurship, but thanks to Marketing Strategy with A M, I'm seriously considering Marketing as well. Another class that stood out was Management Labs, an intensive, 10-week experiential course that felt like a consulting boot camp where I learned a lot and met classmates who have become my friends. Whatever I do, there's always honest, constructive feedback. Outside of school, I attend talks and social events, and I find time to enjoy so much that Chicago has to offer. I feel incredibly lucky to be pursuing such a fantastic education with getting closer to my dream of becoming Director of a cultural institution. At the same time, I get to explore other interests such as marketing and social enterprise and make the best of friends."

"Truly truly the most excellent program of statistics over the US...high quality, extreme hard coursework and heavy workload. The only thing that should be approved is the career service. For most Master students here, finding a job is totally a disaster."
