"I have so enjoyed my time at the University of Denver, which is why I applied and am considering continuing on to pursue my doctorate degree through the same program. I began my masters in International Disaster Psychology in September of 2015 after deciding that I wanted to pursue a career in global mental health. Through the program I have been able to experience excellent internship opportunities, most notably an international internship in Cambodia over the summer. This experience was so eye opening to me and gave me first hand, practical experience of what global mental health work is like. I would suggest this program to anyone who is interested in studying mental health in a capacity that is a bit "out of the box" and who desires to focus on a more systems level approach in their graduate studies."

"Facilities are nice and new, however, I don't think it was worth it to attend. I wish I would have selected a state school instead to avoid debt. My program was heavily reliant on adjuncts who were unprepared. Basic educational needs, such as consistent Internet or technology to access resources was pretty bad. I got what I needed, got a degree and got a job, but if I could go back in time, I would not choose it again."

"My program was more about interpersonal work than individual effort. DU is a nice school for grad students. It isn't as well-known out of state as it feels when you live in Colorado. It is very expensive and maybe not worth the money/loans if you aren't getting a degree that will lead to a high-paying job (ex. law school.)"

"I don't regret getting my master's degree, but I'm not sure that I got the value that I paid for. About 65% of my professors were completely competent to teach at the graduate level. The course content was relevant and helpful in preparing me for my career about 60% of the time."
