"The Pathologists' Assistant program at the University of Maryland, Baltimore is made of up approximately 10 students and has no staff devoted 100% of the time to the program. The small class size is definitely a pro. The much lower cost of attendance compared to all other PathA programs makes up for lack of a full time staff member, and all of the faculty are very supportive! Baltimore itself is a pro (many great area hospitals to train at) and a con (some unsafe neighborhoods close to campus)."

"Great program, great faculty and teachers. Surrounding area is not the safest place, although the police do their best. Good resources and a great value, especially for in state students."

"The great thing about Maryland SOM is the excellent student body, Baltimore itself is really to its great advantage and disadvantage is that there are a lot of low income and repressed people in a small space which means a great medical education serving them, it does however mean you have to live among them as well."

"University of Maryland Baltimore is a great place to study health care-related sciences. It prides itself in being one of the most interdisciplinary schools, and it shows by the many collaborations between schools and dual-degrees offered. The school constantly strives toward improvement and takes the students' evaluations very seriously. However, because it is located in downtown Baltimore, it is not the safest environment."
