"I am greatly appreciative of the education that I am receiving at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. The curriculum is extremely rigorous, and challenges critical thinking abilities, as well as abilities to work on a team and in inter-professional environments. There are copious opportunities for extracurricular involvement, not just in medical activities, but in research, in the arts, in public health. Baltimore is a unique city in that there are amazing opportunities to learn about socioeconomic determinants of healthcare and fully practice understanding those barriers to care and helping to prepare us to be better physicians.
