"I loved UOP the instructors were tough but fair and they were always available for you and most them gave out their personal telephone number if you needed to connect with them not just emails, i was impressed by that. UOP was expensive and honestly if i had to do it again i would have researched schools thoroughly and saved about $10,000 but its over now and the process was enjoyable and controversial at times dealing with different personalities in the team aspect, but it made me an stronger person also the financial aid services, and academic services were incredible when ever you needed them they were there and if they were not available they returned your calls back promptly."

"I am currently studying Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Phoenix. The program is great, the faculty are well educated and can provide up-to-date information about the field as all of them also work in the field. I believe i will graduate the program well prepared and able to pass the certification exams, because of the education provided by the program and the staff of the University."

"The pros of this program are that you get a quality education with instructors who have "real world" experience and have done the job that you want to get. One con would be that there are no internships available for you to put the skills that you learn to practical use, before applying for and getting that job after you earn your degree."

"This program is a perfect program for those who work full time or are parents. I was a young teen when I had my first child, having to work full time I didn't think school would be an option for me but this program helped around my schedule. The only cons with this program is the communication with advisers and the lack of help to find a career after graduation. There is not much information given by advisers in regards to helpful job careers or steps to take after graduation. Overall University of Phoenix has its pros and cons but I would recommend this school to fellow friends and family."

"UOP offers a great Grad program. The instructors give you real life experiences in the classroom along with theory. I like being able to attend classnot one night a week for four hours. I have freedom to work and spend time with family and friends. The cons are not having the academic advisors and financial aid advisors on campus. We communicate by phone and email. I also got my undergrad here. I am a Phoenix!!!"

"Completing the MBA at the University of Phoenix was a rewarding experience. I was challenged with writing well, making presentations, and collaborating in a team to complete assignments. Which provided me skills and techniques I could use in my job the next day. The instructors added to the learning experience by taking the topics from class and demonstrating how they are used in various industries. The readings were current and provided examples that helped make the content interesting and exciting. Our class was 23 adult learners, mostly working adults that participated in discussions and had an unique and diverse backgrounds. We all were ready to work and be active participants. The school is highly dependent on technology as we retrieved all assignments and turned them in through our student website. All readings are electronic and the school provides many resources to assist with writing and research. The career services are great, the website also has tools to improve resume and interview skills, job research and applying from jobs all from one site. The academic counseling is very proactive and the financial advisors made sure I borrowed only what I needed and was set up for repaying my student loan. The surrounding area is close to the highway, has security guards for safety, and has onsite dinner options during the late night classes. Reading your materials is the key to high grades and keeping on track with discussions. My overall experience was great and this degree has helped me to pursue teaching at the University level."

"I'm actually writing this review for my ex-wife, for whom I paid her masters back in 2004-2005. She already had a bachelors in Geography from an accredited four year university, which of course was worthless in providing her with a career, but got her lots of part-time jobs just over minimum wage. She checked with all the state, private, and for profit schools in the area and found that the University of Phoenix was by far the quickest way for her to get a masters degree in teaching. Since I was footing the bill, we never dealt with financial aid and she had no student loans, although I paid close to $16k for two years of tuition and other assorted expenses. Her classes were all group-oriented, and they formed their groups the first day by geographical location. She could have waited for three months until the next group of classes began in our area, but she wanted to get started right away, which was unnecessary since she graduated long before schools began hiring new teachers in the summer of 2006. Since there were five students from our area (about 40 miles from the Salt Lake campus) my ex ended up with them by default. One was completely NUTS and expected them to drive 20 miles out of their way to give her a ride every week. I finally put my foot down and demanded that her husband deliver her to our house to carpool with my ex, and to pick her up afterwards. Since I have a minor in English, I helped edit several of her group's papers, which worked well until the lunatic realized I'd edited HER section of their current assignment, and threw a screaming fit. Appealing to their teacher to have the woman removed from their group did no good - this IS a FOR PROFIT school, so they were told they had to work it out, and if they couldn't it would affect their group's grade. Basically that meant caving to all her ridiculous demands (except where car pooling was concerned) and apologizing for touching her sacred writing. My ex had checked with the local schools to make sure they'd hire someone with a masters from UoP, so when she graduated after 18 months, she submitted her resume to the local charter schools, (the public schools had an exclusive deal with the huge local university who provided their student teachers) she was hired when the new school year began. Yes, it was worth it to put her through school so she could pay her own way, especially after she filed for divorce halfway through getting her degree. Having to deal with a nut case taught her some life lessons, although if the school actually CARED about their student's experience, they'd have told her to wait and attend their local branch. (It turns out that based on the hiring timeline of the school district, my ex could have waited for the next local term to begin instead of driving to Salt Lake once a week.) By all reports, she's an excellent teacher - she's gotten the bonus the principal awards to the best teacher in his school several times, and has been in demand to teach classes to teachers during the summer months to pick up extra cash. I wouldn't recommend UoP to get a bachelor's degree, but for some masters degrees, it's the quickest way to go."

"The pros of my current degree program (Masters in Business Administration) will help both personally and professionally. Personally, it will help to broaden my mind, while helping to make more informed decisions based on problem solving skills learned. Professionally, it will help to attain a better position with a company in a manager's position. The cons of the program include the stresses juggling a full-time career, a family with a newborn, and going to school full-time."

"Pros are support from professors. Cons are there are not a lot of scholarships and grants available so the only way to pay for school is student loans."

"The attended the University of Phoenix for my undergraduate degree. I had many options for my post graduate studies. I chose to return to the University of Phoenix. This is an awesome institution of higher learning."

"I learned a lot from the program. The math portion was very challenging but with the in class set-up i was able to ask my teachers for help & classmates. Without their help i would not have passed. I am still in the military so as of now i cannot say whether it has helped my career."

"I am currently a student at UOP in the MSN Ed. program. This has been a wonderful experience with most of the instructors, the students and other faculty members. The program is manageable and works well with my work schedule, thus giving me the opportunity to achieve my goal. What I love most about UOP facilitators, are that they are professionals in their field and are currently practicing in the field. I have had the experience of having instructors whom have been so far removed from clinical experience that it becomes a disappointment in realizing that they cannot relate to some of the experiences that I may be having at present moments. I LOVE, the 24/7 support that is available for student, I love the fact that most of the facilitators are willing and readily available to provide guidance to students. I love having an academic advisor who is always responsive to ALL my questions, he not only listens to my concerns, but he also goes the extra mile to ensure that I am taken care of with my academic and financial needs. He is there when I need him. Cons for the program would be the lack of programs in various locations. Example: I drive a total of 100 miles each week in order to be able to attend a 'ground' class. This can be a hassle at times especially since there about 2 other campuses closer to my home with less than a 20 minute drive. My overall experience with UOP has been positive and I have and will continue to recommend this school to others."

"The MBA graduate program at the University of Phoenix is laying a foundation of knowledge that I will be able to use when I pursue my career endeavors after graduation. One pro of this program is the experience collaborating in a group setting. One con is the length of each individual class with the amount of information that needs to be passed in a classroom setting."

"The Master of Business Administration program at the University of Phoenix consists of 12 courses which focus on key areas of managing and running a business. Courses are complete one at a time for six weeks which provides ample time to learn the topics. The instructors work in the area they facilitate, and provide real world experience from their work experience. The concepts can be applied to your job the next day, and the readings are up to date and easy to follow. Examples of how the concepts are used at many U.S corporations is also discussed. Each course consists of writing papers, working in teams, and individual or group presentations. The program's format provides vital experience relative to today's work environment and managing others. The student website has many resources for writing papers and completing assignments. The site also has a social media portal to share feedback and communicate with other students and faculty. The Career Services features are great, with easy to use tools to assist with resume building, interviewing, and searching for jobs. University of Phoenix provides resources for scholarships, writing and math tutors, and workshops on hot topics in the industry they teach. My experience and opinion of the University was great, and I feel prepared for growth and professional development throughout my career."

"There are pro's and con's in mostly every decision we make and attending college is a good idea. Attending UOP has improved my life in many ways. I know I am a different person after graduating and walking across that stage! It is something that can never be taken away from me. It also allows me to perform my job better and deal with different personality types. Working on a team for close to 4 years provides experience that you need anywhere you are working. I initially did not have good experiences with it but eventually I became confident enough to work with anyone. I can point out a negative aspect which would be the high about of loans I now owe. It is more than other universities but I can't worry about it I just have to make sure I work hard to pay it back."
