"I came to Walden University an ordinary student and leaving as a positive social change agent. Walden through my facilities and chair has equipped ne for a better tomorrow.. The mentoring process in Walden made me who I am today. I am proud to be a Walden graduate."

"The current DIT program at Walden is rigorous and streamlined. The professors are extremely knowledgable. Typically only people who drop out or can't keep up come here to complain. I personally know several prior students who wrote the other reviews posted here. Most attended when the program was new and had produced no graduates. I was the 70th graduate in the DIT program. Please know, attending residencies is mandatory and vital to pass the program. In some instances I know for a fact that students who were not at the doctoral level (no matter how much help they were given) were dropped in ITEC 8447 when your premis/prospectus for you dissertation is due. If the director of the program has reviewed your progress in the program and evaluates your prospectus and knows for a fact that you will not finish the program, you will be dropped so you do not waste tens of thousands of dollars in future doctoral study courses. Walden would be happy to take your money for seven years until you aged out of the DIT program, but the director protects the reputation of the degree and protects underperforming students by dropping them instead of taking their money. This is the harsh truth of pursuing a rigorous doctoral degree, there are not participation awards and people are going to walk away unhappy."

"I am still currently taking classes at Walden University. The classes are back dated. One class I took was created back in 2011. One of the books was created back in 2010. Also, the advisers do contradict one another. So, if you talk to another adviser in your area, the do not say the same thing. You have to make an appointment with advisers. I had to make mine weeks in advance. I went to another University, called them in that day and they called me back within hours. Blackboard and the CRM do not sync. A class that is dropped will still show up in Blackboard. The residencies are very expensive. There is a cost to adding just a residency to your class list. Then you have to pay for the room and food. As far as positives, teachers got back to me within a day by email. Grades were turned back to me three days after I turned in my homework. They provided feedback that did assist me to improve my homework assignments. All the teachers responded promptly to discussion boards."

"It is unfortunate I write this review, Walden University has some good people but for the DIT program I would not attempt to enter. On several occasions my schedule changed due to the program changing and transfer credits I once received are no longer valid. For those looking to improve your educational experience I recommend you seek higher learning opportunities elsewhere. Walden does not care about the students they only care about their money and getting students to take more classes. No one has graduated under the DIT program and that is a problem considering the program keeps changing to ensure no one graduates. Their is some sort of scheme going on!"

"I should have listened to my gut and the reviews I read about Walden. They are super-responsive when they are trying to get you in the door, but once you are a student they are slow to respond to questions and provide assistance. The course I took had very unclear assignment expectations, cryptic deliverable instructions, and unrealistic scenarios to work from or on. I get it that Doctoral students write a lot...but don't waste my time with writing exercises that are not grounded in reality in some way shape or form. A majority of my prior education took place via online instruction so this wasn't my first rodeo. Buyer beware if you consider Walden university."

"Doctoral program can't finish I am stuck with having one mandatory class to take, and they only have one professes or for this class The instructor failed me I filed every petition and gave full documentation but all were seined the real problem is that they want me to take the same class same syllabus from the same teacher I feel he was racist and had a problem with me for not having taken the residency due to lake of funds he abstractly made sure I did not pass I was only .something away points away from a 70 the grade point was 69. This teacher took off points for anything he could find as well as when it said I exceeded the expectation of the criteria he still did not give me all the points also he did not explain or document his reason in the comment section but when I brought it up he said there were grammar errors and it was his decision whether or not to give me all the points, The professor also took points from me because he said he reformatted my paper, and it wasn't long enough after reformatting but he never showed or posted the reformatted paper. Secondly, I used the example in the syllabubs for my formatting to make sure I had formatted it properly. The main issue for me is paying and taking the same class from the same teacher who failed me and we have a disagreement there is no way he will be able to grade my work fairly and I not trying to waste more money for this teacher to fail me again this school is very unethical and needs to be shut down I am sending all my info to all educational out let a school that big that doesn't have another teacher for a mandatory class is not right they may just be lying . I can't finish my Doctor without this class"

"Several quarters of study were 8-10 days of productivity with 9 1/2 to 10 weeks of waiting. Most notably for University Research review. Their entire thesis/dissertation process is serial. Meaning you pay your tuition regardless of whether Walden staff actually produce feedback. I still intend to graduate because of the investment already made. But, Would You Recommend Your School? I selected no -- because there was no opportunity for "Hell No" or "Not a snowballs chance in ..."To be fair: Walden is not a Diploma Mill, Because it does not care to focus on those processes that would help students. Walden a profit driven "service provider" that views it's students as limited term revenue streams. In Walden's view, Walden must help relieve students of their money for Walden's profits."
