"I have completed my coursework. I am now in the dissertation phrase and practicum/internship. My chair hasn't provided me feedback on my dissertation in the last two quarters. I am currently having to add a second practicum site due to not meeting Walden's requirements for practicum. Walden's criteria for practicum sites does NOT align with APA or my state guidelines nor did Walden flag the issues I had with my current site. Now they are rejecting documents that have been approved for the last 2 quarters. They provide little help when finding a site. I am currently attempting to add another site but I keep going in circles with the "field help office" and they are providing little to no direction and the staff do not communicate with each other. At this point I feel as though the field office is being petty because I did something to upset them. I am assuming by asking too many questions, because even though I am on my last straw, I still maintain professional standards in my communication with them. I would also add that now I am at a practicum site my educational experience is not adequate when compared to other practicum students at my site. DO NOT GO HERE!"

"I highly recommend this school to anyone with the flexibility to work from home. You must utilize practical time management skills for this program to work effectively. By no means does it mean the school is easier, but if you apply yourself and make valuable connections with your colleagues, obtaining your degree will be easier and more pleasant. You must be self-motivated and willing to complete all assignments and tasks on time. As humans, we are not perfect, and there are instances where the professor may take some time to respond. But during this process, a professor will ensure they reach out, letting you know they are experiencing difficulties just as we experience them. Collaborating with faculty, students, and staff will enable a positive transition via an online learning platform. Overall, I am highly pleased with the structure of the learning environment, and I am thriving within the Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology program. The journey is not about how fast you can accomplish it but how to pace yourself in the Marathon, enabling you to complete your race at the finish line."

"WARNING!!! Before you decide to enroll in this school read this first!! This may be the most horrible university on the face of this planet!! I was A PhD student majoring in clinical psychology! This university kept me in dissertation for 7 years!! Yes 7 years so they can make more money!! They made a fortune on me. They also kept me in the university with delays after delays for 12 years!! Yes 12 years if you can believe that, but yes it is true, again so they could make more money!! I now owe almost 600,000 dollars in students loans, and if that is not worse, they also removed me from the university this March 1th 2021 because I overlooked to check two boxes on the Learning Agreement used for practicum, which I eventually did check! I also had found a practicum, which believe me was not easy because clinics would do business with this university, they have a very bad reputation on the outside!!! It took me over two years to find one. I was scheduled to begin practicum this June 2021. I only had one year and a half to complete this degree, my practicum and internship was all I needed. Yes you guess it, Walden also took that away and would not allow me to begin practicum, So now after being almost 600,000 dollars in debts for student loans which I now cannot pay back, I dont even have my degree in clinical psychology and cannot even practice! So please, take this email very seriously!! If you are contemplating this university, DONT. I warn you . Because after all my disappointments, and failures for even ever choosing a horrible university such as this, I came to realize that the only thing that is important to this university is MONEY MONEY MONEY!!! I AM NOW SUING THIS UNIVERSITY!! THEY TOOK MY MONEY, AND TOOK A LARGER CHUCK OF MY LIFE 12 YEARS, AND i GOT NOTHING FOR IT!!! AND THE PROGRAMS ARE HORRIBLE!! i LEARNED NOTHING HERE!! tHIS PLACE IS A MONEY MAKING JOKE, THAT HAS NOTHING TO OFFER ANYONE!! THE ONLY ONE THAT MAKES OUT HERE IS WALDEN!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GO TO A DECENT UNIVERSITY, BECUSE YOU WILL NOT FIND ONE HERE!!"

"It is going on six maybe seven years and I have not gotten my prospectus approved. I am totally disappointed with Walden University. The instructors are rude and some are pompous and narcissistic. The program does not prepare students for the dissertation. I am in the thick of it financially and have stuck it out this far. Either staff resign or those that sit for you temporarily are getting their pockets lined. No I would never refer anyone to attend Walden it has become a nightmare. Do not go there it truly SUCKS!!!"

"I have not yet graduated, but I will tell you that Walden makes you work hard, but it is worth it. I am currently on my second draft of a proposal. And it wasn't the professors fault I didnt hit a homerun the first draft. The changes they suggested had me dive in deep and I had to become an expert to create a really great literature review. They have workshops you can take it you need help. Walden is well-priced and also very convenient for working people. Walden will work with people who do not have English as their first language, or have no family background with college. I suspect that for some they might be in over their heads, but for those who are willing to work hard, Walden is a terrific university. My only problem is that people lump Walden in with scam universities. There is no scam at Walden, not in my experience."

"I have been attending Walden for almost 3 years. I swtiched programs at the end of one and now working on the degree that will work better for me and my dream job after school. Attending a=n online school is going to be hard work. Walden is not my 1st online school, I recieved my B.A in Foresnic Psychology online at Kaplan U and I have nothing bad to say. Each degree was and is hard work, there is no personal life while working on your degree and if you are working full time you have to set aside time to do your classwork and stick with it. I work with many people that have gone to Walden and each are working in the field that they went to school for, you have to be dedicated to do the work before and afer school. Walden can only give you the knowledge you have to apply it and get the job. I am proud to say that I am a student of Walden and I will be prouder when I graduate."

"When you hear of a predatory, solely-for-profit on-line school, let this school serve as the poster child. The lack of communication is truly appalling as is the outdated and archaic curriculum. I was in the doctoral program before merely rolling my credits into a master's program and leaving the school altogether due to my incredibly high level of frustration. In my last dissertation course, the instructor was non-existent in the course from Week 3 - Week 10. EIGHT weeks of zero interaction and for this I paid over $3,000? Week after week of students floating aimlessly in an unsupervised virtual classroom without any navigation or direction whatsoever. I wish I could say this was the exception but this was the norm. The instructor in this particular course did not even check the questions for instructor forum - ever. Hello? Is anyone here?? Additionally, you will wait several weeks for an email response from course instructors and/or school staff if you are lucky to receive a reply at all. Unacceptable and inexcusable. Save your time and your money. ****AVOID****"
