"I changed my career and now teach online. I feel that my educational journey helped me to become a better business owner and instructor. Walden was the only University to use the term of diversity. In the past, every time I was told how diverse I am, it was always in a negative tone. I learned that diversity is a positive and appreciate that Walden helped change my course in life."

"The Business Program is riddled with problems. One of which is too many students and not enough people despite plenty of incoming money. Another issue is redundancy, meaning same types of courses from one degree to the next. Another - Curriculum that has not been revised for several years. Another - Professors that have less experience and degrees than you. Another - professors who are on an online ego boost. Another - don't have a serious issue in life - no one will help you."

"This is a great school. The teachers are very helpful, the finance department will correct mistakes very quickly, and the assignments are challenging but doable. This is a school for employed, computer literate people who have busy lives outside of school. The staff is very supportive. I have been in college for 12 years, to me it seems that all these people who give bad reviews just don't want to do the work or they chose a degree that they don't like."

"I have had a horrible experience with the student support and counseling department with Walden University. The latest issues have been fighting with the Financial Accounting Management Office. I received a FINAL DEMAND FOR PAYMENT NOTICE on March 2nd, 2017 with the notice dated February 9th, 2017. I immediately call the number on the notice and spoke to a lady who did not identify herself. I was incensed to receive this final notice with the threat of collection not having received the first notice nor having ant reference to what was owned. When I attempted to question the individual, she hung up on me. I called again and got a recording that all representatives are busy. I stayed on the line for over 30 minutes while at work to eventually leave a message, which was never returned. The following week I called the main number and spoke to a gentleman and explained the circumstances where he looked up my account. He informed me that I owed $643.80 and that the notices most likely went to my student email. I was incredulous to the fact that notice where going to a student email with not follow up by regular mail, having not used this email in over a year when dropping from the program. I made a check out for the amount and placed it in the mail thinking I was finished with Walden to receive a letter of the collections on Monday the 13th, with a $131.85 additional charge. I placed a call again to the Financial Accounting Management Office to be placed on hold again for a half hour to receive an electronic message to leave my contact information. I have since made two calls where I finally spoke to someone who transferred me to the same number that placed me on hold and eventually messaged that they could not accept the call and leave a message. Since my first call on March 2nd, I have spent a total of 6 hours on the phone to pay a $643.80 bill with no satisfaction. Ive spoken to 3 people outside of the Financial Accounting Management Office asking what I need to do to get someone to return my calls on getting this issue resolved and their response is to talk to someone in the Financial Accounting Management Office."

"Walden is a for Profit school beware. I am an Alumni and made every attempt to finish my second degree with them this was a very difficult task to complete as it is for many other students. Look for a school who has the same goal as you do. A University who will partner with you to finish your degree with the least amount of financial burden as possible!"

"Walden is an online University, it is not Harvard or Yale. If you are looking for a degree that is going to give you instant success in life, you'll be looking forever. I don't care where you went to school, if you don't work hard, and solve your own problems you will fail in the real world too. Most of the successful people I know did not go to big schools, they went to junior college and transferred to state schools. Or they opened their own businesses and worked hard to be successful. My wife got her MA at Cal State Los Angeles and she now owns a successful business. And guess what? She hires professionals with online degrees too. Walden requires you to do the work, they will not do it for you. If you need to do research, it's up to you to figure out a way to get things done. If you have an issue with fin aid, advising, etc., it's up to you to become an adult and solve the problems on your own. If mommy and daddy have their pockets lined with money, go to a nice school with tall trees. If you are accustomed to having everything done for you, go somewhere else. I am on my second year at Walden and it has been good up to this point. It's everything I expected from an unranked, online, and for-profit school. I did my BA at a brick-n-mortar school and I can tell you that the hand holding stops here. If you're worried about the reputation of the school, don't go to Walden University. Go to an Ivy League school, period. If you can't get into any of those schools, simply complain about it for the rest of your life. Personally, on my resume, my education is last because my accomplish at work are more important. I use my BA, MBA, and soon to be DBA as a supplement to prove that I can work hard, and I have the education and training to handle the additional responsibility. It does Walden a huge injustice when people come on here and berate Walden University for mistakes that are most likely out of Walden's control. For example, people give Walden 1 star because they had a death in their family and Walden wouldn't go out of their way for them. Or, people giving 1 star because they weren't able to find an internship in time. How come other students could do it, but for some reason these people could not. I'll tell you why, they are lazy and want everything done for them. Walden is not for everyone. Please do your own research, look at the rankings, and then decide if Walden is right for you. If it's not, then please stay away and let us enjoy the University for what it is."

"Please stay away from this college, especially DBA programs, they are just rip-offs, There is no real value and they are there just to suck your money, I am stuck there and lost money on this useless program and thinking to quit forever, trust me and look for some other good college"

"Save yourself money and headaches. Do not attend Walden University no matter how good it sounds on paper or how many course "pre-course" credits they offer you in advance. Get a root canal instead, you will enjoy it much more and it will cost you a lot less :)"

"I attended Walden with great expectations in finishing as documented in the admission process. I found out way TOO late that the majority of the students do not finish in 5 doctoral study final classes - they finish in 10 classes!!! This adds time - over a year, not to mention so many DOLLARS. I had 3 different methodologist that took over 5 months to review a part of the study. Completed my study process over 6 months ago and between the individual reviews, it is still in process with no expected completion. Another tactic in keeping the dollars coming in to Walden. Too late for me, but do NOT start this program as the promises to complete in a timely manner are false."
