I chose to attend Huntingdon College because I was looking for a small, private college where I could live and study while enjoying a small professor-to-student ratio. Huntingdon College matched my criteria but exceeded those expectations. These experiences are in addition to the international travel experience built into the tuition and four year degree plan. While attending Huntingdon College I explored France with my French professor who allowed me to accompany her to local French markets. Huntingdon offers a unique educational opportunity based on the small class sizes where stronger relationships are naturally formed. Professors are able to identify strengths and weaknesses of each student and tailor classes towards a range of learning needs and preferences. The small college hosts a dining hall that can be accessed after a short walk from anywhere on campus. The on-campus dining hall also creates a rare feeling of community. Most students routinely enjoy sharing meals with fellow friends, students and professors. The liberal arts curriculum prepared me to think critically and question my own preconceived beliefs. As early as my freshmen year I was taught that a good argument required obtaining a more full understanding of opposing views and disciplines. At Huntingdon I never felt like I was just another student. The relationships formed while attending Huntingdon opened up networking opportunities and personal growth that added to the value of my Huntingdon experience.
