Going to this school has left me extremely bitter and angry. I feel like I have been scammed out of an absurdly high cost "education." There are some truly great professors at this school like Dr. Clay, but there are also some absolutely miserable professors like Dr. Hill, that are completely apathetic to anything that may happen to you. I had a lab TA send me a multipara graph rant that was extremely rude and insulting just for asking about my grade. When I went to the Dean about the email, the whole issue... Read More was blamed on me and swept away. Many people in Ruston will defend the school with their last breath, because the school is the life blood of Ruston. In reality, the school does everything in its power to cover up "inconveniences." Just do some research on all of the on campus sexual assault cases that were swept under the rug. Tech is a business first, and a school third or fourth, and it is a dirty business. Did you know Les Guice makes $350,000 a year to shake hands, smile, and tell his secretary to send out emails, all while you are paying $3,000+ a quarter so a professor can tell you to pay an additional $100 for Pearson just to do randomly generated homework that they have to put zero effort into grading? Did you know they make around $1.2 million from parking decal sales alone just so you can park in muddy, dusty, gravel lot where your car will probably get keyed or broken into? Did you know that once a year you are automatically charged an additional $50 for a year book that you probably aren't in nor will you get? Please do not go to this school. Don't go to college at all, it is a scam. Welders and electricians are in high demand, and they always will be. Going to Louisiana Tech is, and always will be, my biggest regret.

Going to Louisiana Tech University was a great decision. Twelve years after attending there I can definitely tell you it is one of the most innovative places to be. I had no idea of the amazing value I would receive by being a student there. I saw technology while I was a student there, that it took an entire decade to see in mainstream America.
