I started my journey at Pierce College going between the Puyallup and Lakewood campuses. Life eventually caused me to take a short sabbatical, and a couple years later I returned to Pierce College, finishing out my degree at the Fort Steilacoom campus. From my very first encounter with the Pierce College at Fort Steilacoom administrative staff, I was greeted with a kind smile and a warm welcome. As an older adult returning to the classroom I had a different prospective. Advising was of little help. Some required prerequisites had nothing to do with the course work, total waste of time & money. Make sure your credits are transferable to the university you are planning on attending, otherwise you will have to retake classes again.
