The program director and staff were knowledgeable and helpful. They cared about the students understanding of the subject and wanted to prepare the students as best as they could for our future careers. Shawnee State University is mainly known for its game design, nursing, and dental hygiene programs. Campus if fairly small with all of the class building being in one central location, except for the education building. The dorms are large and apartment style with 2 bathrooms, a stove, sink, refrigerator, and plenty of kitchen space. Read More to labs those classes get broken into smaller groups of around 24 students or less. The professors that i have had, so far, are excellent in their fields. So far the art classes have been fairly small allowing one on one time with the instructor and making it easier to present infront of the group. Most of students that attend SSU are outgoing and there are many clubs and greek life options. SSU also hosts events to keep the students involved with each other and the community. They now offer freshman only dorms and offer dorms for certain majors, such as nursing, so nursing students can live with each other and help each other (since they will be taking the same classes)
