Shelton State Community College Rankings by Salary Score™
Salary and Debt by Major at Shelton State Community College
We calculated a Salary Score for each of Shelton State Community College's programs by comparing program-specific median alumni earnings to median alumni earnings for the same program across all schools that provide this data. This way, students can compare the relative salary strength of a specific major at Shelton State Community College to the same major at other schools. A school's overall score by level is based on the school's by-program performance weighted by student enrollment in each program. Data is sourced from the December 2020 release of the U.S. Department of Education's College Scorecard and reflects median alumni debt upon graduation and median alumni earnings in the year after graduation for students who received federal financial aid. Debt and salary numbers are shown rounded to the nearest $10.

I had a wonderful experience overall at Shelton state. What I did NOT have a good experience with is the nursing program instructors. Some of the instructors were very rude and made you feel stupid, small/not good enough. Absolutely not acceptable, and they were not understanding of mental health. I did not complete the program. The head of the nursing department is awesome, helpful, and so sweet.
Shelton State is a great school I recommend it to everyone. Mr. Butler and Mr. Tucker were excellent instructors. They have many years work experience as technicians and they teach you helpful tips you can actually use at work. I learned a lot while I was there and was well prepared for an electronics career after graduation. I graduated with no student debt and now make over 70k a year as an Electronics Control Technician.
