Salary and Debt by Major at The University of Texas at Austin
We calculated a Salary Score for each of The University of Texas at Austin's programs by comparing program-specific median alumni earnings to median alumni earnings for the same program across all schools that provide this data. This way, students can compare the relative salary strength of a specific major at The University of Texas at Austin to the same major at other schools. A school's overall score by level is based on the school's by-program performance weighted by student enrollment in each program. Data is sourced from the December 2020 release of the U.S. Department of Education's College Scorecard and reflects median alumni debt upon graduation and median alumni earnings in the year after graduation for students who received federal financial aid. Debt and salary numbers are shown rounded to the nearest $10.

I am a student at UT's Continuing Education Program for Data Science. I was completely ripped off. There are no refunds for this $6000 certification program. The program is run by a company called XTOL with UT's name slapped across it. They claimed that I would be assigned a mentor and placed in a small group with whom I would be working closely. They did not reveal that there were only 3 mentors assigned to over 40 students and that 'working together' meant that everyone shares a single slack channel. There... Read More
My time at The University of Texas was the best time of my life. It is a huge school, right in the middle of Austin. There are issues with having a school so large; there is a sense that your advisors don't have enough time for you or a full understanding of your classes, there are some professors who you will hardly see and you'll have to speak with their TAs,...
