"I started Everest in April of 2012. My first 8 months were great. Services were amazing and someone was always there when I had questions. In about October I started having problems with my account balance. The loans would always get returned to sender but Everest would still send me an overpayment check. I didn't notice until loan collectors started contacting me about paying the school. I would then call the school and they would say it was a misunderstanding. Eventually it got fixed and I would just continue with my classes but it always puzzled me. Fast Forward to October of 2014 and the same thing happened again with my loans this time nobody would answer their phones. Student services would hang up on me. Financial aid when be unforgivingly rude when I asked questions about it. I called nearly everyday from October 18th to this day and the issue hasn't been resolved. I have already graduated and received my diploma in the mail but nobody is helping with my situation and I have been on top of it 3 month prior to graduation. Now I have been informed that Everest has been bought out by Zenith Education group, my sister was enrolled for business and found out because of this they are dropping her program so she had to withdraw from school, I found out that Everest wasn't an accredited school which may make it hard for students to transfer credits. I believe it's a bunch of bull crap and it needs to be handled. I am now 22,000 dollars in student loans when I was told the most would be 14,000 for 2 years and nobody can explain why. Everest University also promises job placement but ha anyone called and followed up with me? No! I have to call and every time I do, I have been placed with a different advisor and have to repeat the process all over again. It's ridiculous. The instructors were WONDERFUL, and the classes were too. They focused on exactly what I needed to know. That was probably the only thing Everest did right."

"This school was absolute junk. They change advisers frequently, they took my degree completely away but let the students continue to study it. If any one had any kind of issue you were on your own. NO ONE would pick up the phone and if they did, you could tell they didnt care. I hated attending this school. They screwed me and left me with $28,000 worth of debt."

"PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS SCHOOL IS PISS POOR PLUS VERY HIGH IN COST !!!!! THE STAFF THERE DOESN'T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING PLUS THIS SCHOOL DOES NOT HAVE A TECH TEAM ANYMORE. ALSO THEY HAVE A LAW SUIT AGAINST THEM BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. THEY TOLD ME THAT MY PARENT PLUS FORM WAS OUT OF DATE WHEN I HAD JUST DONE ONE LESS THAN A WEEK AGO,BUT BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T TURN IT CORRECTLY NOW I OWE OVER $7,000 THAT THE GOVERNMENT IS POST TO BE PAYING FOR. PLUS THE SCHOOL IS 12 WEEKS LONG AND IF YOU ARE MORE INTELLIGENT THAN THEIR TEACHERS THEY WILL GIVE YOU A BAD GRADE THEY DID ME . I SWITCHED SCHOOLS AND NOW I HAVE A 4.0 WORST SCHOOL EVER . THEY ARE LIARS AND THEFTS . I SPENT $20,000 WITH THEM."

"I am presently in the 3rd semester of my second year. I am proud to say that I have maintained a 3.0 to 3.69 average. The problem is that I needed financial aid to assist me in my endeavors. In the time I have only received three checks, the amount was $512.00 in each check. I asked the financial aid office for an explanation of the disbursement, and I have never been able to get one. Other students have the same complaint."

"I would only recommend program to anyone who is self motivated with no learning disabilities. I never had any problems with getting help. I had a student advisor who walked with me every step of the way and who was always available to help me. I am not working in my field but the degree helped in my current field and I do use what I have learned. I have no intention of going back to school so I do not know what transfers and what doesn't but if I did go back, it would be to this same school. I even got to walk the stage to receive my diploma and it is currently on my wall."

"I attempted to obtain a degree from Everest University Online because of the convenience since I work full time and have 4 children. Had I known then what I know now, I would have NEVER enrolled in this school. I am currently $20,000+ in debt and just recently transferred to another school only to find out that Everest is nationally accredited, but not regionally accredited (regionally being the higher and preferred of the two) so therefore, most if not all of my credits would not be transferable. These people will tell you whatever it takes to get you in the door and get your money. Anytime you call and talk to someone different in the same department you get a different story; there is no consistency whatsoever. I have also heard that people who get their degree from Everest aren't able to get a job once the graduate. I'm glad God spared me before it was too late."

"Everest tells you enough to get you to enroll and use a large portion of your financial aid once you graduate you find yourself in a lot of debt and the credits are pretty worthless. They are nationally accreditted not regionally accredited. I live in Arkansas and am trying to continue my education have not found a school yet to accept credits from Everest University. They suggest I start over due to the worthless Associates degree from Everest University a.k.a. Corithian Colleges."

"When I first started with everest university in 2013 my first few terms were great. I had a great academic adviser and there were no issues. As I progressed with each term my courses would be taken away from me in the middle and I would receiving a failing grade since I was unable to finish the course. I am still fighting with the school right now to get the credits that I should receive. I had A's and B's in all of my courses until they were taken away from me. The financial aid representitive was less than helpful. I qualified for the pell grant among other various scholarship opportunities and the funds never made it into my student account to help pay for school. Where did the funding go? That is a question that I don't think I will ever get an answer to. Please watch out with this school if you are interested in enrolling. Make sure you ask every question when you are putting you time, money, and education into the hands of less than credible sources. I have changed schools and now that I have thousands of dollars worth of student loans and nothing to show for it since the credits I earned will not transfer I have double the loans but at least I am headed in the right direction to starting my career."

"I am completely satisfied with my experience at Everest. Since the beginning I have been treated with respect and genuine care. I am very sorry for everyone else that had horrible experiences. My instructors are amazing and give very good feedback to all of my work and the classes are challenging. They are great school to attend if you are military affiliated, they have a wonderful scholarship for military students. You have to make sure that you have a B average to keep the scholarship. My student representative calls me about every 2-3 weeks to make sure that I am comfortable in my classes, to make sure my grades are good, and to ask if I need anything. I appreciate the phone calls because it makes me feel like they really care. I would absolutely recommend this online school to a friend or family member."

"I am currently enrolled in Everest University online for the Criminal Justice Program. Other than sometimes having a hard time getting a hold of student services, I have no problems whatsoever. My classes are great, as well as my instructors, and If i need help, it is available to me immediately. Student services and the financial department has been extremely helpful, like i said, sometimes it is just hard to get a hold of them. I got my books on time, I am getting my laptop on time, and I'm doing great in all of my classes. I honestly do not understand where all these negative reviews are coming from. If you work hard, you will succeed and find a job. Don't rely on just Everest to just find you a job, get up and do it yourself. For the record, no I'm not an Everest employee. Believe it or not, there on students that are doing well here and have no complaints."

"First Off let me start off with I worked my tail off getting my associates degree with them. I had the usual as I now see messing up my financial aid for months on end I had to at one point call two and three times a day to get someone to help me. I finally received my refund from financial aid three months late and they are always ready to get you a lone and not look into financial situations that will help you the seem predatory in my opinion. I finally graduated with my associates degree in criminal justice and when I went to enroll to start my BA I was then asked if I had any kind of criminal record and I stated yes I had at one time had a misdemeanor. I was then told oh we now have a new policy that we do not let people with misdemeanor's or felonies enroll in criminal justice programs and they wanted me to reenroll in something else. I was also mailed extra money my last semester and wasn't told it was extra and needed to pay it back. I was never sent a bill and I never received my degree I finally started being harassed by Everest for their supposed 700 dollars ok Everest where the hell is my degree or do I just tell potential employers oh I have it but they wont give it to me. Give me my degree I will give you your money sounds fair yes I do not trust Everest they when I needed money avoided me like the plague now they want my money and can kiss my rear end."

"The only reason I enrolled to Everest's online program was due to a possible relocation issue in a differant state I could possibly address. After taking a semester of classes through Everest, I acknowledge I had been scammed and dropped out immediently! The one semester I was in, I was top of the class without even trying while the other half who failed to make satisfactory grades complained while answearing complaints in Ebonics, half replies or no replies at all.Why should I be impressed if I'm"Top of the class"if the bottom is that low?I was so mortified I completed one semester through this "school", I never acknowledge my one past semester With a 4.0 through Everest purely out of embarrassment that I intended there! Yes, I am a single parent who is striving for a higher education. However, this "institution" takes advantage of single mothers that drop out of high school or college and it's awful these for- profit "colleges" are marketed for you! Please acknowledge this!"

"I love going to Everest,it is the ideal school for someone that is not working. I get my Pell Grants distributions on time. Sometimes they maybe late but that is due to the fact that the school starts a new semester and they have to wait to see if you are going to continue to go before they send you money that you do not deserve. I love going to Everest, my grades are as follow>>> 3.85 and the classes are fun. I started last year in Oct.2012 I will be finished this year in 12/2013 if I continue to take 4 classes. So it has to be pretty easy if I am taking 4 classes after my first semester right.... Try it you will love it. The people that are making these hanyous accusations about the school, I really believe you just could not handle the work. I know these people are not just gonna take your money, because that would be against the law."

"This school will be the perfect pick for a full-time mother that has to work and other obstacles in your life. I have been attending this school for 2 years now and just finished for my Associates in Criminal Justice. I am currently going back for my Bachelors in Criminal Justice. All the bad and negative reviews are a joke because I believe those are the ones that really need to take a better look in the mirror. Education is education, this is not high school, so that being said "Be Grown" and stop blaming others that are trying to help you expand your knowledge. If is was a joke or scam they would not receive any government funds as far as financial aid such as Fafsa or you wouldn't be able to claim the student status when doing your taxes. Everest is not about money because I have not been contacted one time about money. I have had all types of job requests but I want to continue my education for my family and I.Everest University you are the best!"
