"It's a very good graduate program with appropriate resources and great support from Faculty. The only downside may be the campus surrounding which is not too safe."

"The faculty are well-experienced in the field of public administration. There are a wide variety of opportunities to network with well-respected organizations in my field. There is a high academic standard, and resources available to students if assistance is needed. The university invests in extensive online resources to view syllabi, course materials, class grades, communicate with professors and students, and manage administrative tasks (e.g. class registration, financial aid). The courses are offered at flexible times, and there is an opportunity to mix concentration courses if the particular course of study is important to your overall academic goals. The location of the campus is in a congested urban city. Outside of the campus it is not aesthetically pleasing. There are also safety concerns. However, the university provides extensive resources such as escort services."

"I currently attend Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. I feel that the school offers an excellent balance between learning the hard sciences and offering students clinical exposure from the day they begin. Relationships between students are rarely competitive, with everyone helping to ensure that everyone else does their best. Professors are very open to working with students, whether it be something concerning a class or an independent research project. The surrounding area can be dangerous, especially if there are additional risk factors, such as someone walking alone at night. However, I have personally never felt unsafe on campus."

"Faculty is open and accessible. Often they work in their field of specialty while teaching. The program could stand to offer greater financial assistance."

"The MBA program at Rutgers University is amazing. The staff is extremely personable and flexible; they want nothing but the best for their students. The location of Newark is a small drawback, however, Downtown Newark is an upcoming area that has proven to be safer than its surroundings. It is also in close proximity to New York City and provides many options via public transportation to other metropolitan areas."

"After completing my undergraduate degree with Rutgers, I can honestly a test to the outstanding faculty and resources available to each student. As I enter once again as a graduate student, I am extremely excited to be working with some of the leading names in Criminal Justice. The department is not only recognized nationally, but compared to the undergraduate offices, the quality of support from faculty is much improved. I would highly recommend the masters program in criminal justice at this stage of my education."

"Diverse, challenging, yet friendly and collegial. Great deans and faculty-- very caring. Great financial aid department, and numerous merit-based 2L and 3L scholarships to reward good 1L performance. Location is historically quiet/shabby, but it is getting drastically better such that one can walk to the train stations. Definitely okay to live on campus-- Halsey Street is quite nice! Transit availability is great."

"Being employed full-time, it becomes difficult to have access to the same resources & activities as the "day" students. However, I can honestly say that the professors at the School of Criminal Justice are second to none and the coursework is both engaging and translatable to one's given career path."

"The Pros of Rutgers University Master Social Work Program are that it offers evening classes to help working individuals to better manage their lifestyle. The Program is evident to help individuals have a better and bright future. Rutgers University is recognizable and many represent what they do for individuals whom want to better themselves. The cons are that parking is an issue. Parking tickets are regularly given out by the police, the area is not so safe, but Rutgers Police constantly patrol the area."
