"I currently attend the Surgical Technologist progam and I must say that I really do enjoy the program, the Director of the program (Mr.A) is a wonderful instructor and really does look out for his students. Mr.A goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is prepared for their class work and responsibilites. I do however do find the program to be on the bit of the pricey side, I really did not do my research prior to signing up with the school but everyone at CHCP at the school have really been helpful. I'm upset that I am paying a pretty penny for the program but Mr.A is worth every cent, he trully is an amazing individual and teacher. I highly recommend CHCP Surg. Tech. program in San Antonio, Tx... They hired the prefect person for the program."

"First of all veteran do not go to this school, it's dysfunctional and unorganized. During my year an half my instructor and president of the school were both fired. I completed all academic and hands training. They do not in force their own standards and their financial experts don't know how to fill out the proper paperwork. I used my Post 9/11 G.I. Bill and due to there incompetent I have a $8000 outstanding balance."

"If I have to chose a school again it would definitely not be this one. I had 3 instructors in the entire time I was here and it was really unprofessional. I thought I was going to get the best experience possible and I did not. I was suppose to be taught EMRs and not once did we even go into it. And I feel like I paid waaay to much for the poor excuse of education I got. I will never refer any one to this school because its not worth anyones time or money."

"College of health care professions the Fort Worth location has been nothing but a waste of my time and money. First of all, I'd like to say there are a few professors there that I wouldn't mind going back to thank for what I did actually learn from them, but the main professor I had read out of a book and told me things to high light. Now I'm a smart young woman, I wanted to get out of school quick and start a career and them go back to school so is be able to afford it. Though, this "teacher" had me spending 25,000 dollars for her to read to me like I was 5. I could have very well bought the same book for 200$ off line and read at home. Secondly, they treat you like children. It's not a college experience at all. They give you a break every 50 minutes for 10 minutes. They pass out awards like an elementary graduation. It's ridiculous. I came to college to get some life experiences and meet others who we're doing the same, not to be fed a bottle and play favorites. Lastly they lied to me about a lot of things from the very beginning, but the biggest one was that I would be able to work at a hospital on my extern. Now, I'm a young 20 year old who is a manager in retail, so working all day is normal for me. Planning on doing my extern over night at a hospital like I was promised would have been perfect. Would have. So now trying to balance 40 hours of work a week and at least trying to get 30 hours of extern a week they tell me I'm behind and have to get at least 45 hours a week for the next month to finish. AND also having me drive 2 hours away from my house because they can't find anything closer. I'm sorry. I don't remember the last time YOU paid any of my bills. Seriously a ridiculous school."

"As I am reading the reviews I didn't not see that many good reviews. There are many different locations for this college. I am previously attending CHCP in San Antonio Texas. I honestly love this campus everyone is super friendly here. They keep the classrooms to a minimum of 15 people. If you're struggling you can actually raise your hand and ask the professors questions. They also do after school tutoring Monday-Thursday without appointmet. There is tutoring on Fridays, but that's by appointment with your professor. Attending this school is one of the best decisions I made in my life. I got to meet a lot of new people some as old as 50 years old trying their hardest to get a good education and a well paying job.I put that put there because it's never to late to get your education! It's Monday - Thursday from 8am to 2:20pm you get a 10 minute break every hour and a 45 minute lunch break. You do have to work hard and study almost everyday. Why you ask because they put everything you need to know in a 14 month period. When it originally takes people 2-3 years to complete in a community college or university. They do help you with job location ,but you have to put the effort as well. Once you completed all your courses they'll find you an extern site. Hopefully when your extern trial is about to end. You have a good chance of being hired. That will all depend on your attitude, hardwork and dedication. I REALLY hoped this help you if you still have questions. Go to the school website and fill out the information box, and they should call you within 48 hours. OH! One more thing the 14 month program is for LMRT students only. There are many other programs like Dental Assistant, Billing & Coding, Medical Assistant, and Ultra Sound. The majority of those programs take about 9 months."

"Mrs. S, the program director for ultrasound was great but she is gone now and so have the standards she set : ( It is too bad because she was finally getting those of us in the community to take the school seriously again. The new program director is just a puppet of the new campus president."

"Don't go to this school. I do not recommend this school. Put hard work and money, it won't be worth it. They are very unprofessional. This school is a joke. "Don't go to this school! I was in the LMRT program. The school is very expensive and not worth the $. Once you are enrolled, you are treated like a child. School officials are very rude and unprofessional. Extern sites are only available for limited sites. ACU has exclusive contracts with all the great sites that offer the best experience, so the Academy of Health Care Professions is left with the rest. Most class hours cannot be transferred to another school, especially ACU."

"I was a working adult returning to school. As such, it was important to me to not waste my time. Unfortunately, my experience at this school was nothing but a waste of time, money and effort. The school put on a really good face but it seemed that once the financial papers were signed, the schools professionalism tanked. There was a rapid deterioration of the Medical Coding and Billing department. There was constant discord with the department head/instructors and the school management. The staff showed its unprofessionalism by making the students aware of the discord and anger toward the school management. More time and effort was spend in giving play by plays to the students than instructing. The students anger and dissatisfaction were continuously stirred up and enflamed by the staff. By the time I completed the course, I had totally lost all respect for the school, staff, and, unfortunately, the program. I have not gotten a position in this field. I do not feel that I was educated enough to be able to work successfully in this field. I did not persue the state certification test, also because I did not feel that I was educated enough to be successful. So, in the end, I was left with student loans, distaste of the school and no career in the Medical Coding and Billing field.Please...buyer beware. Do not take the word of the admissions staff. Their job is to get you to enroll. Talk to previous graduates before signing any papers."

"I went to this school. Great place smart teachers. It is a scam though a cleverly designed one at that. I have been trying to get a job for six months without help from the school. I am $21,000 in the hole all because i wanted the fast track to a job. Take the long way it might actually get you a job. Please take this post seriously and don't listen to the admin people there are NO jobs for LMRT, it basically doesn't exist they have us apply for MA and front office positions."

Its also so expensive and the education is not even that good.The DMU program is over 30 thousand!!!!!Its not even an acredited program in that school.
