"I finished my Bachelors of science degree in Business Management at the University of Phoenix in San Diego, CA. I am currently enrolled at the University of Southern California starting my Masters program, majoring in "Masters of Business for Veterans " (MBV)."

"I finished my Master's, started my Doctor's degree but never finished my dissertation, waste of money."

"It was a nice, fast schedule to keep, but the reputation of the school since is not one I would recommend to others. Although, I felt like a obtained a great education."

"Attending University of Phoenix has been a really good experience for me, it can be taxing at times but at the end of the day/evening it is worth the time an effort of being there. Four hours once a week to me is a blessing because in those four hours I have the professor and classmates attention whether it is a one on one or group effort of understanding the lesson. Everybody is close net and it is "A one for all-all for one" learning environment, we are there for each other, I feel that I have been blessed with the classmates cause we are all on the same graduating schedule. I would recommend UOP if you are trying to get your degree just know and understand that this learning experience can be quite rigorous but once it's all said and done, there is a proud feeling of accomplishment."

"The University of Phoenix, Gardena Campus, has always had an open, friendly, learning environment. The counselors, instructors, and other staff at the university are always helpful and willing to assist. Once I determined that I was going back to school, I was a bit nervous and did not know what to expect. But, with all of the support I have received from the staff at the university, I was able to attend classes and concentrate on my education. Currently, I am on the Honor Roll and working full-time."

"UoP is great for the working or married adult. It has the flexibility that one needs when life pulls them in all directions. The course load is manageable and the instructors understand that you are most of the time juggling life to be successful in their class and they appreciate that."

"The decision to go back to school is great, getting accepted into UOP is greater! after been out of school for so many years, attending UOP ground school made it all easier. After my first class all my skepticism was wiped out. The Instructo'rs are friendly and make the learning process much easier. The curriculum and learning guides and tools available is helping me a lot! My class mates are also great! I look forward to becoming and Alumni and proudly say 'I am a Phoenix!'"

"The University of Phoenix has a well thought out plan to aid you in your academic career. From beginning to end you are helped by campus associates who are engaged in you academic career. I am very happy with the level of assistance that I am receiving throughout my academic career at the University of Phoenix."

"The Pros for being in my program is that the instructors are in the field they are teaching. Unlike "old" professors who have been teaching straight out of the book versus applying practical knowledge. A Con to the program is that some of the courses you really need more than the allotted time to learn the material."

"A Graduate Degree from any school is an achievement. University of Phoenix caters mostly to military and ex-military students however, the company I work for has a partnership with them, and a 10% discount is provided to me on the tuition. This discount however, is not enough to cover the thousands of dollars I have spent thus far in my education. The program is definitely geared towards working students, and this is definitely a pro. Being able to attend classes at night, and being able to complete and submit work online allows me to complete my studies and school work when I am not at work. The only con with the graduate program, as previously stated, is the cost. While I believe that the cost for the courses is reasonable, it is still expensive for me to pay for it on my own."

"I feel that the pros of my college graduate program are that the times and curriculum is flexible to a working persons obligations outside of the classroom. Obtaining financial aid and setting up program schedule was easy. I understood expectations going in. The cons to my program are that I did not feel I had as rigorous of an academic schedule as in my undergrad. This may be because I knew a majority of the material covered. Because there are no requirements to get into the program, which I think is a big mistake, many students did not have a business education background, causing the rest of us to sit through a large amount of refresher material."

"The graduate program at the University of Phoenix is surprisingly tough but is rewarding. When I first started going, I was only doing for the money through the GI Bill. However, I have actually learned and have implemented most of the lessons that have been brought up in my classes. Unfortunately, the school does have some not so pleasant requirements such as team assignments. These assignments can be extremely difficult especially since not every team member is on the same page when it comes to writing. However, in my opinion the school makes up for this deficit by requiring students to constantly work on papers. Every class has at least one paper due every week. Overall, I feel that the school is pretty good and I look forward to completing the graduate program."

"The workload is intense and the material is challenging. It would be helpful to have required internships and more job placement. More of an explanation on learning teams and accountability would be helpful. Also events on campus could be beneficial in bringing students together"

"Pros: Resources available online are the biggest benefit. Networking is the next best benefit. Teachers merely facilitate graduate education. Teachers are not responsible for what graduate students learn. That burden is on the graduate student. Cons: Not sure of fellow student commitment some students bring to the course, minimums vs maximum effort to learn something new. Faculty must intervene when necessary to keep the class on track by correcting inappropriate behavior or decisions and not letting students fight it out among themselves. The goal is to prepare students for academic as well as realistic work situations."

"The program needs to be more challenging; for example, in class quizzes and exams. Most students do not even read the material, they just look in the book for the answers when taking their test."

"I had been out of school a while before pursuing my masters. I enjoyed all of the classes and the interaction with the students. The pros of starting the graduate program after entering the workforce was that it gave me the ability to have intellectual discourse with other professionals in class regarding work-related experiences. After graduation I started the doctoral program because of my experience in the graduate program. The cons of graduate school would be the cost factor. I was able to get financial aid to help with the cost. Now I have to worry about paying it all back."

"The pros to this particular program structure of the University of Phoenix, is the ability to learn the necessary knowledge requirements through the text and course materials, but as well as, gain practical experience from instructors who have already been where I am pursuing for professional growth."

"UOP offers a great Grad program. The instructors give you real life experiences in the classroom along with theory. I like being able to attend classnot one night a week for four hours. I have freedom to work and spend time with family and friends. The cons are not having the academic advisors and financial aid advisors on campus. We communicate by phone and email. I also got my undergrad here. I am a Phoenix!!!"
