"This school is amazing for anyone looking to achieve a dynamic degree faster and more efficiently than any other school. The professors and staff are extremely accommodating to all students and their needs. With a bachelor of Alternative Medicine the possibilities are endless, the classes are interesting and innovative with most professors practicing what they teach in the work force for an in depth look into their field. I love this school and I am proud to be a student here."

"I was looking for a university that provided a relaxed environment with qualified teachers who treated us as a people and not just a number. I wanted to find an education in the field of Alternative Medicine so that I could be qualified to help others on a professional level. And I found all of the previous-mentioned at Everglades University. The only Con is that I didn't find them sooner. I now enjoy learning from not just the professors but from the students, as well. Building our knowledge from on another makes the 30 minute drive here and back three times a week that much more worth it. I do highly recommend."

"I attend the Orlando Campus, This university is a great place to learn due to the fact there is a low Professor/Student ratio. The group discussions are very beneficial to each student as it opens up a whole new window for learning. The staff are exceptional and always willing to help in any manner. Love Everglades University."

"The quality of instructors and staff are extraordinary, campus in Orlando is good location, although i believe it could be bigger, with actual labs and more or a bigger school feel to it. Lack of funding and the cost of the school is outrageous, but being the only school offering such program, they feel they can get away with asking for such tuition."

"Making the decision to come to Everglades was good for me because I am almost finished with my Alternative Medicine degree and am looking forward to moving up within the practice where I work after I finish my degree. The Alternative Medicine teachers are also wonderful and they teach us very practical and interesting information."

"I love Everglades! I started studying online before I moved to Florida, and it was perfect for my busy work schedule. Now I'm at the Boca Raton campus and couldn't be happier! The school is surrounded by huge trees and grassy areas. Some days after class, students get together and do yoga in the shade. Such a great family :)"

"This is a great school for the working man. Their schedule is unlike any other school and they are very willing to work with you to find a schedule that fits your life. I work full time, have 2 kids, a house, and a marriage to deal with outside of the classroom. But the staff has done nothing but make this as easy for me and my family as possible, The professors aren't career teachers either, they have real world knowledge and experience from actually being in the field doing what they are teaching you about. That paired with a great support staff make this a great school to attend. I would recommend attending this school to anyone with responsibilities outside of the classroom."

"Alternative Medicine is a good path for the future. There are million of Americans who are not experiencing any kind of healing with traditional medicine. However many are learning about self care and complimentary modalities and ARE experiencing healing. There have been case studies of terminally ill people experiencing spontaneous remission with complimentary alternative modalities such as Ayurvedic Medicine, Yoga, Nutrition or meditation. I believe our careers in Alt Med will be in high demand. There is no better place to get started than Everglades. Everyone here has a true passion and calling for this work. The staff is very helpful especially the librarian K."

"I started my college career without much more direction than that I wanted to do something that I enjoyed and which I felt mattered. I was accepted to the University of South Florida straight out of high school and spent the first couple of semesters flipping from one major to the next marine biology, literature, humanities, pharmacy, health care administration; you name it, I probably majored in it at some point or another. I became dissuaded with school, realizing that I was just meandering through the various classes, racking up crazy amounts of student loan debt in the process. I fell into the field of integrative medicine completely by chance when I began working at a walk-in clinic with physicians whom just happened to be of that mind set. I grew up in that clinic, was shaped by its principles and medicinal practices during the most formative years of my young adult life. As the vision of the clinic shifted even further into complementary alternative medicine practices, so did my thoughts about the way that medicine should be practiced. After several years, while on a mission for career growth, I took a position at a primary care practice and stepped headlong back in to the world of conventional medicine. I quickly realized how precious the approach to health and well-being at my previous office had been and was saddened by the approach of western medicine. The realization that this was the way the majority of our nations healthcare worked moving patients through as quickly and efficiently as possible, only dealing with the acute issue at hand, and acting as if pharmaceuticals medications are king. Determined to complete my college education, and with far off hopes of playing some type of role in the change of health care as a whole, I started looking into what options were available for completing my college education during this period. I knew what I liked and what my interests were, but had little faith that my remaining educational career would consist of much more than a mad dash to get a degree under my belt. It was a total fluke that I happened upon the Alternative Medicine program at Everglades University, but I knew as soon as I did that this was the program for me. An admissions counselor reached out to me, and I was enrolled within a week. The smaller size of the campus and the involvement of the faculty was very appealing. For the first time, I had the feeling that my success really mattered and that I was not just a number or a face amongst the crowds, as had often been the case at larger universities. If I needed to, I was easily able to speak with the Campus Vice President- Ms. Siganos, Associate Dean- Ms. Hamilton, Ms. Eales who took care of my records and bills & books and or even my financial aid director- Ms. Hidalgo. I would either have my questions answered directly, or would know that answers would soon be made available to me. The length of the classes worked for me and my process of learning as I didnt have any time to grow bored or distracted with any particular subject before we were moving on to the next. The professors were all experts in their field and the real life experience that they brought to the curriculum, in my opinion, added an extra layer to the program overall. I feel that I was blessed to have met the people that I did in this program, both professors and students alike, and believe that I learned a great deal and gained some enlightening insights about the alternative medicine practice and way of living from them and their experiences prior to attending the Everglades University Tampa campus. I believe that this is a group of people that I will stay connected with and may even collaborate with in some fashion or another in the future as this field continues to grow."

"My experience here at Everglades University has been fantastic. I was skeptical and stressed out at first because I wasn't sure if I could go to school and work out how to finance school on my own. I decided to give it a try because I was tired of the healthcare I was receiving and I thought there had to be a better way; there had to be something I was missing. In July 2018 I will graduate with my Bachelors in Alternative Medicine and I will enter the Master's program for Public Health Administration with a Concentration in Complementary and Alternative Medicine. Im looking forward to this next step as it will be another stepping stone to my career plans. This masters degree will help me make an impartation into the lives of the people in my community which will make a much bigger impact in the community long term. I am currently using the knowledge I've gained at Everglades University to implement a community garden to enhance a food pantry in the community. The classes are smaller at Everglades University; the Instructors have more time to focus on each student which has really helped me achieve and maintain a 4.0 GPA. I ABSOLUTELY love the staff at Everglades; they have gone above and beyond to help and encourage me in every way they can. Coming to Everglades University and choosing the Alternative Medicine program was one of the best decisions I've ever made."

"I started this University in July of 2016 and I must say I absolutely love the way it is set up so that full time employees like myself can actually get an education while also working. I live at home however I help my parents with bills and pay bills of my own as well so I can't go to a community college like HCC full time and work part time. When I did attempt to do both work and school full time in the past at HCC I had bad grades as I just couldn't seem to juggle everything. Now at Everglades not only do I work full time and go to school full time but I am also the Secretary of the Student Government and still make time to go to church and the gym. The staff are so friendly and welcoming they always greet you with a big smile on their face and everyone makes you feel as though you are home away from home. So far the majority of the instructors I have had actually take the time to ensure that you get what is being taught and push you to do your best. I truly love Everglades they are like a second family to me!"

"I love Everglades University! It will be a year that I have been at this school and I have nothing to complain about. The staff is super helpful, caring, understanding, always putting their students first. The professors are amazing, all professionals in medicine that bring insight, knowledge and tips to the class. They are 100% dedicated to the success of their students. It is so refreshing to be in a school like this. I am mother of 3 children and work full time so to not have to stress about my school is amazing, WORTH EVERY PENNY! I was the VP in SGA and that was such a blessing. Really helped me find my talents that I didn't know I had! I would and do recommend this school to everyone I meet, and I am so proud to be representing this school. There is no other school like this in the area with this degree. I am forever thankful for this school and what they are doing to change not only my life but the life of my children! Thank you, thank you , thank you!"

"Hi, my name is Cindy Z.S.. I am a wife, mother of 9 (plus an additional teenager), and grandmother of 7. I drive school bus by day and attend school for Alternative Medicine in the evenings. So, needless to say, I lead a very busy life. I have always had an interest in alternative medicine, but I think it was when I was in my later 20's and had a thyroid problem that I really started getting serious about it. I wasn't pleased with the choices the doctor was giving me, so I decided to try to find a natural way to "fix" the problem myself. Somehow, I stumbled on the right combination of things and saved myself a lifetimes worth of future problems. Last September, I happened to be "strolling" through Facebook and saw an ad for Everglades University and did something I never do.....I filled out the inquiry form. The next thing I know, I am talking to D. (at that time I was unaware that she was the Campus VP), and she after reviewing a couple of items on the phone assisted me into coming into the campus just to talk further. I have to admit it took me two weeks to find the time to come in but Ms. S. sent me information via email as well as a great packet of literature in the mail in the meantime. I came to the campus on a Saturday and Ms. S. was waiting for me at the front lobby area. I was in her office for no more than ten minutes before deciding to go back to school in my mind. I completed all the necessary steps and here I almost one year later. I have met the most wonderful people and definitely have learned more than I could have on my own. I now have a new outlook on things and learn something new everyday. I participate in campus activities and have completed all my community service requirements as of today. I am inspiring others to get involved with our campus and the student government. This was a great decision and am proud that I can handle work, family life, EU campus activities and my 4.0 gpa."
