"Worst school ever. I did 3 years and drop it because it was expensive. For what they are offering is not worth going to. Far in the middle of no where. Small campus yes. But the rest was unorganized and charging me for redundant things. Didn't explain my fees and how much I had to pay. Just don't go. It's not worth it ."

"Excellent university. Professors are great and knowledgeable. Administration is great. I have learned so much...I love the campus. I love Everglades. ..I hope they have continue education in alternative med. Such as Acupuncture and oriental med, nutrition, or any other alternative therapy..."

"I am in the Alt. Med. program and it's okay, but there's a lot of disappointment in this school. First off, the professors aren't dedicated to your success. Secondly, all they want is your money, it's all about that, money, money, money and that's pathetic. It's listed as non-profit that's a hunk of junk though. It's outrageous for a small commuter University and not worthwhile for the amount of tuition they charge. On the contrary the campus is really pretty though!"

"RED FLAGS. EVERYWHERE! PLEASE. RESEARCH FOR YOURSELF BEFORE YOU. WASTE YOUR TIME AND SPREAD. THE WORD SO. OTHERS KNOW AS WELL! THIS SCHOOL PREYS ON MILITARY GI BILLS! THIS DEGREE IS NOT APPLICABLE TO ANYTHING ELSE IN ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE. IF YOU INTEND IN FORGETTING YOUR CAREER, YOU'LL FIND YOURSELF AT A COMMUNITY COLLEGE TAKING MORE CLASSES, SINCE THE SINCE CLASSES DO NOT COUNT AS THERE ARE NO LABS SET UP. HOW CAN YOU OFFER A DEGREE IN SCIENCE/MEDICINE AND NOT HAVE LABS SET UP. I NOW HAVE TO WASTE 2 MORE YEARS BEFORE I AM ABLE TO ATTEND MED SCHOOL. THIS IS A HORRIBLE BUSINESS, IT'SNOT A SCHOOL."

"I had found out that it was difficult to find a secure job after graduating so wanted to transfer to nursing and Anatomy 1&2 credits were not transferable and had to be taken again and FASA does not pay for the the same clsses twice so I was stuck paying out of pocket or getting a private loan to continue before nursing program began which set me back additional 4 months. Now was told because I withdrew I owed more money. Rip off. Go to a state college, its cheaper with same or better education."

"I have attended Everglades University in Orlando for a couple of months. My initial plan was not really related to the program so I transferred to somewhere else. First I will list the positive aspects of the school: for me, everyone was very nice and knowledgable. The financial aid representative was very helpful and also, he knew how to help me. The professors are top notch and they are highly educated. I enjoyed all of my classes while I was attending and I gained a lot of knowledge, too. Now I will go to the negative aspect: first of all, not all the negative aspects are the faults of the school that I will mention: students are rude, disrespectful and usually late. I cannot learn in an environment where professors are not putting any discipline in the classroom. I had classmates who were constantly late on Saturdays (we start at 9 am and the person arrived after lunch..) if you say you want to attend classes on Wednesdays and Saturdays that means you have the time on those days and you dedicate yourself fully to be on time and participate on class. Yet, these students still got their attendance points (probably due to the fact that if they don't reach their attendance points the financial aid would be denied...) still I don't believe this is a good policy towards other students. It is understandable that sometimes you cannot attend or you have something urgent to do, but not every single time.. I didn't feel that school provided me with a lots of challenges, the professors are not that strict and the studying materials are also not that much. So you can easily get a good grade. On the other hand, when I wanted to transfer I tried UCF first, and they did not transfer my credits from Everglades saying that the institution is in a different accreditation. My problem was mostly that the Alternative Medicine program is a well chosen major, with a little bit of everything in it, (little chiropractor, acupuncture, nutrition...) and basically, any of them is not enough to stand by alone. If you want to be a nutritionist, you cannot do it only with this degree. I would recommend the school just for the knowledge."
